Last week, Fox Home Entertainment threw a launch party for the Blu-ray and DVD release of X-Men: First Class. The lavish event featured celebrity guests, a number of scantily-clad models dressed up as Emma Frost, and celebrated DJ Paul Oakenfold performing in the Roosevelt Hotel's version of the Hellfire Club from X-Men: First Class. One of the highlights of the night, though was the enormous 3D video for X-Men: First Class which was projected onto the famous Roosevelt Hotel for all of Hollywood to see, even if you weren't invited to the party. Click on the video player below to watch this unique 3D mapping projection video from this event, and read on for my thoughts about this innovative presentation below.

I was one of the guests in attendance, and somewhat surprisingly, this projection was the talk of the party. Guests were lead up to a special balcony to watch this unique video, created by Pearl Media, which transformed the Roosevelt into mutant HQ in quite a glorious fashion. It was also great that you didn't need those pesky 3D glasses to enjoy this wonderful video, which is hopefully a sign that 3D movies can be enjoyed without the bulky spectacles in the near future.

Even with the gorgeous women dressed up as Emma Frost and legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold on the turntables, this 3D projection video managed to outshine them all at this X-Men: First Class party.
