Charles Leavitt (The Seventh Son) has signed on to write the screenplay for Legendary Entertainment's video game adaptation World of Warcraft. Sam Raimi had originally been attached to direct, although he was forced to drop out, due to his involvement with Disney's Oz: The Great and Powerful.

Legendary is said to have responded positively to the new writer's take on the material, which may keep the languishing project moving forward as they try to find a new director. The Activision/Blizzard Entertainment video game Warcraft debuted in 1994, where players take part in an epic struggle between the Horde and the Alliance. Blizzard's World of Warcraft is a subscription-based multi-player online roleplaying game, where gamers from all over the world do battle in this fantasy realm.

There is no production schedule set at this time, although it is believed that, if the studio can find a director in the near future, the earliest it could be released is 2014.

Warcraft comes to theaters March 11th, 2016 and stars Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, Travis Fimmel, Dominic Cooper, Paula Patton, Clancy Brown, Daniel Cudmore, Ben Schnetzer. The film is directed by Duncan Jones.

I want to direct this movie..!

@dan1 -- Not even close. But, on a movie website, I sure as hell do. We're seriously not going to start another feud over this, are we?

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Lets agree to ignore each other, then.

@dan1 -- Hell, I even know that. The feeling is (obviously) mutual, but I didn't even bother pointing that out. Keep that in-mind when you do the same to arguments/debates that I'm in, without @mentioning me.

    What ever you say, man.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Alright, Nick. You've got everything figured out, so I'll let you be.

    @dan1 -- .......

    I. Wasn't. Upset. I just don't know how anyone could resort to being a 14 year old boy, and talking about what they would and won't do to said girl, on a public article - hence "time and a place for everything". I had no issue with the conversation in this article, I just wrote on this one to sort it out as a whole.

No offense, but you all have your days. I'm not the one yelling, swearing, and insulting a user because he won't stop @mentioning me.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Actually, anyone that knows me knows I don't care about your approval of anything I say or do, so all I was doing was pointing that out to you, so you know for future reference when you decide to stick your nose into how I conduct myself. My heart did not increase a single extra beat when I wrote that.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Again, the only person who brought attention to its inappropriateness was you. Please provide other witnesses who were upset by our public discussion.

@dan1 -- Now that we're calm, we can both admit you weren't calm, beforehand. Statements like the following prove that:

"F*ck your approval, I'll say what I want, when I want, and you can get over it or not, I don't care.".

I wasn't upset, and I wasn't talking about the "sex talk" in this article. I actually joined in, as you can see. I meant in general. It's not easy to offend me, so I look forward to that(and no, I'm not being condescending). Yep, you too.

@dan1 -- Ugh. I'm not offended by it in the slightest(I think it's quite funny, actually), I just think it's the furthest from the truth. Maturity and sensitivity have nothing to do with each other, and you of all people, should know that.

  11. Dan

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx I've been calm. I wasn't the one who got upset because people were talking about sex publicly (notice how nobody got upset except you, like usual).

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your day. Perhaps I'll find a way to offend you again tomorrow.

I may not play the games but I do read the books.

I'm sure that people will go over to the other website where they do swear. What movie web needs to realize is that people will continue to swear, it's like trying to tell smokers that smoking isn't alloyed, they just don't give a hoot.

@dan1 -- Again, I never said, or even implied that. Why do you have to be such a hypocrite, man? I could've said the SAME exact thing. You're being very, very immature over such a small matter. Besides telling you that you can be a pest, I've never resorted name-calling, or swearing at you.

Again, you wouldn't know. They are in fact pussies, and they are easily offended. Where were you when that Tony Scott suicide and mockery of Sean were made?

Now, can we both calm down, and have a reasonable discussion like adults? I'm in no mood for another pointless feud over something as silly as this.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx And if you're butthurt over me calling you a prude (which you are), then clearly you're the one who needs to grow up and grow some thicker skin.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Ooooh, I'm hurt, I'm not allowed to join any conversations around here until Nick approves. F*ck your approval, I'll say what I want, when I want, and you can get over it or not, I don't care.

And you clearly missed my point with the Face-Off comment war the admins had with other users. They're no pussies, they're not easily offended, and most of the users here have been around a long time (longer than you).

@dan1 -- @mcleve02 and I have had our comments deleted for little or no reason, but you clearly wouldn't understand, would you? I never said I wanted it to be "clean", and no, it's far from clean. I just said immature statements will have little, or no belonging, here. That doesn't mean you haven't said some very immature, tasteless comments. Moral authority? Grow up. I have no issuing swearing, and joining in said conversations, but there's a time and place for everything. Public articles are not one of them.

Says the guy who comments(undermining everyone else) on every debate that doesn't even involve him.

You're blowing this out of proportions with your name-calling.

    3 years agoby @XxNickTheFilmCriticXxFlag

@dan1 I will say it is about 1000 times cleaner than it was back in our hey day... holy Lord... were we ever making Satan proud with our profanity! haha

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx A lot of ridiculous trolls have been eliminated (some repeatedly). So they done a little (censoring the word "c*m" is still funny to me), but your hope of a "cleaner" MW by 2014 is silly. It's already clean, we're hardly being controversial with our comments, you're just choosing to be the moral authority of the site and trying to draw attention to how "classless" our comments are. Find something else to occupy your time with, or ignore us.

@dan1 haha as @slysnide will tell you, I probably stole that award for sure! Damn page took forever to load, but when it did, it was quite spectacular! haha

@dan1 -- I was probably just a spectator, then. I beg to differ. I read the articles now, and then I read an article from a couple of years ago, and witness a HUGE difference. I've seen posts, and forums deleted in the same month. They censor a lot of words already, too. Censorship will make it's presence, subtly.

@dan1 haha well I was technically around, but I just didn't get on and comment like I do now... I did comment a lot back in 2007 through about 2009 and stopped until about May of this year! So yes I do remember... I actually don't mind the face off... except for when I try to click something and the page finishes loading and I accidently click that instead of what I was trying to! haha Dan were you around when we were able to really create our own profile pages... or am I really showing my movieweb age???
