Warner Bros. has purchased the screenplay World Breaker from The Signal director William Eubank and Philip Gawthorne.

The medieval story follows a Scottish warlord who, with the help of his sons, defends their castle from a siege orchestrated by the commander of a cunning and deadly army. This project is just the latest medieval-themed tale to land at Warner Bros., which is developing Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. That project has Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba and Astrid Berges-Frisbey attached to star and Guy Ritchie set to direct.

William Eubank will direct World Breaker, with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken producing, and Joseph Vicenti and Joshua Horsfield executive producing. No production schedule was given.

William Eubank is also directing Tautona for Warner Bros., from a script he co-wrote with Carlyle Eubank and David Frigerio. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones is also producing that project alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian.
