Last month, we reported that actor Scott Eastwood is playing Steve Trevor, the boyfriend of Wonder Woman in the comics, in Suicide Squad, before moving on to the stand alone Wonder Woman movie. Today, we have new details from the Meet the Movie Press podcast, where The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider claims that Scott Eastwood isn't playing Steve Trevor in either Suicide Squad or Wonder Woman, and Warner Bros. is currently testing actors such as Liam Hemsworth and Alexander Skarsgård for the Steve Trevor role. Here's what Jeff Sneider had to say below.

"Scott Eastwood is not playing Steve Trevor... basically, [he] had a choice: he could have a role in Suicide Squad - a smaller role - or he could test for the male lead in Wonder Woman alongside guys like Alexander Skarsgård and Liam Hemsworth. And he chose the Suicide Squad role. So we don't know what that role is. I'm told that he's signed on for three pictures, but it's not clear if Wonder Woman is actually one of them. Warner Bros. thinks he's going to be a big star, he's obviously the son of Clint Eastwood who has made them a lot of money... it seems like the role of Steve Trevor is still open, and they are not going back to those guys for testing now that they have a new director."

The news falls in line with a report from earlier today, which revealed that Warner Bros. is now seeking actors for the Steve Trevor role in Wonder Woman, but this is the first we're hearing about Alexander Skarsgård and Liam Hemsworth testing. It isn't known who Scott Eastwood is playing, but he has signed on for three DC movies as well. Of course, Gal Gadot is set to star as Wonder Woman, after her character will be introduced in next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Who do you think would be a good fit for Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman? Let us know below.
