I have loved the Nightmare movies since I was 8 years old. Heather Langenkamp is my favorite scream queen and I hope to someday meet her. I remember when my dad rented Nightmare 3 for me and watched the movie and towards the end I shed tear when Nancy died. Later on when New Nightmare came into theatres I was very happy when Heather came back, even though she was playing herself. I thought she did her best acting in that one and frankly I do not know what the fuss was about I thought it was a good movie. I would be thrilled to have the copy with her autograph on it.

I saw this in the theater when it first came out. I think I spent more time with my hands over my eyes than watching the movie.

I've loved the franchise ever since i was a kid. It just brings back so many great memories of my cousins and I scaring ourselves talking, thinking, or watching the movie! It's just good old fashioned fun with a clever plot and killer!

I have loved Freddy for as long as I can remember. He's my number one villain and nightmare maker. I have a tattoo of his glove on my ribcage, leaving scratches across my side. As soon as I meet Robert Englund (my hero) I will have him autograph it and then have the autograph tattooed. I actually get into fights with friends when they disagree about Freddy being number 1. I mean, killing people in their dreams???? Epic. I deserve this DVD because I am his number 1 fan.

I've seen the regular DVD release of this but am DYING to get the bluray with all the extra features. Heather Langenkamp autograph? Yes please!

The original is my all time favourite film. And a signed BluRay by Heather would be the icing on the cake in my growing Nightmare, and BluRay collections. :) She doesn't make it to Australia often, if ever. So it might be the only cost effective chance I have of getting her stamp on some memorabilia..

I have grown up on NOES series ever since I was about 4-5 years old (25 now) and Freddy is my absolute favorite out of all the horror icons (i.e. Michael, Jason, Pinhead, Candyman, Chucky). For me to have this signed by Heather would be a sweet item to add to my collection, and also I could watch this doc*mentary over and over again. That is why I believe this prize should be mine. Thanks!

I love A Nightmare on Elm Street because you can see as as far down into it as you like. Take it for a horror film that's sometimes campy or take it for a real piece of cinematic history that invites us to look inside ourselves at the layers we possess. From our own dark, devilish boiler rooms to the very top - Our own embodiment of Nancy.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the true horror films that stands the test of time. There isn't anyone who hasn't heard of it and there isn't anyone who doesn't who Freddy is.
The characters, the lessons and the archetypes transcend that period in time when the original film was made and, indeed, when all the films were made. There will always be a struggle for good and evil and there will always be bystanders. That is one of the reasons that Freddy will live forever.
I've never seen this film but I have had the pleasure of meeting Heather on several occasions. A a really neat tid bit - my Mom had drama class with Freddy himself way back in the day in Granada Hills!
I'd love to sit down and show her this film. :)

  21. Anthony Brownlee

I first saw "A Nightmare on Elm Street" when I was a kid, at the age of 6 I was introduced to the world of Freddy and the innovative characters that dared to stand up to him. I was so captivated by the film that it became my favorite of the franchises that produced a multitude of sequels in the 80s. "Nightmare" had such a magic to it that could not really be defined as one thing; the film is not about a maniac running around with a butcher knife, it's not about a girl who discovers the madness fifteen minutes before the movie ends . . . . this film is about a demonic force that exists only in the realm of dreams, a place we ALL have to journey to, and a fifteen year old girl who finds an immeasurable amount of courage to face him and seek him out in his own territory. This series has definitely found a place at the top of the horror food chain and this doc*mentary symbolizes that. I would love to own this and have this piece of horror history with the autographs of the ones who helped create that magic that is just as relevant today as it was thirty years ago.

I have been a huge fan of the Nightmare series ever since seeing the original Nightmare after school one evening in 1985! I can still remember the excitement and terror I felt, the first time watching! I recently made a replica Nightmare house over the summer, and now I'm starting to make them for people. (Mark Patton from Nightmare 2 will soon have one of them!) I'm excited because I always wanted one for myself, and to make them for others is an honor. I would gladly display this autographed blu-ray in a glass cabinet!
