It seems that actor Viggo Mortensen and director David Cronenberg could be working with each other once again, but this time for a sequel to their 2007 film. Deadline London is reporting that Viggo Mortensen and director David Cronenberg are lining up a sequel to their 2007 film Eastern Promises.

Steven Knight, who wrote the first film, will be writing the sequel and Mortensen will reprise his role as Nikkolai. It was said that Focus Features was hoping to get the film in production by this coming winter.

Mortensen and Cronenberg first have to re-team for their latest project, though, The Talking Cure, which was said to be released in 2011.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details on an Eastern Promises sequel as soon as we have more information.
