To cl81: From the looks of this trailer, it's done justice to the story. I recognized every scene in the trailer right out of the book. I have confidence that snyder will not fuck this up. Watchmen is considered by many to be the greatest piece of popular fiction ever published

To J.R. Chaos: No, this isn't like FF. Comparing this to FF is like comparing The Dark Knight to Mamma Mia. Watchmen is way more serious and is a look at how crime fighters would be looked at in the real world. The book centers around the death of a government "hero" named the comedian. You have to read it to get the full depth of the story

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! i love this director and his work hits such strong chords... he's amazing and this movie is going to be amazing because he REALLY knows how to translate graphic novels to the big screen...

oh.. and you should all read the watchmen graphic novel first... it's a classic and definitely one of the chief works that defined the medium..

Teaser Trailer

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, the film is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future.
