from what i've seen its like a mutated whale. But whatever it is, Godzilla would totally kick its ass!!!

well people, J.J said that the U.S needed there own monster, so it not a monster we have seen before I think, but he also said that it got some kinda godzilla look. Well I dont know how much look it got from the godzilla and from with 1 of them. The us or japan godzilla? :-|

If you look closely at the legs It looks more crab or insect-like and you can somewhat see the shape of its head. This has nothing to do with Godzilla other than some inspiration so drop the lizzard. Either way Im excited to see what it really is!

Im also greatful that it was actually a monster and not some aliens from another world type thing..something like war of the worlds...which was also awful. Hope this director can find a way to not show the main creature too much but also not have to wait till the end either to show it. I expect great visual effects in this movie.

how could anyone ever even think this was anything like godzilla?? If youve seen the previews you already know it has a more realistic and darker point of view. Im old fashion and ive been EXTREMELY disappointed with all these newer hyped up movies..ala GODZILLA, AVP, SPAWN etc etc...if this "PG13" movie doesnt live up to its hype...im never watching a movie like this again.

Come on people use your head, the rights to godzilla has not been sold, so it's not "GODZILLA". But a rip off of Godzilla b/c they can't use the name...hence Cloverfield.. the monster probably is going to be a godzilla look a like but not exactly the same b/c of the rights issue.

Its not godzilla because j.j.abram explained that he was in japan with his and he saw all these godzilla toys then he realized he wanted his own movie monster.

I think this movie is a spin off from the game "Rampage" where people turn to monsters and they start to fight.

i found this on the web "The movie will not be called cloverfield or monstous and there will be mini mes of the main monster but through out the whole movie you never see the monster just the little ones killing people his uncle is a crew member" so what you think

I really have been trying to figure this thing out for month's now. I don't know what the heck it is. I am thiking it's something new since godzilla is already locked up till 2013. or maybe they got the rights to make a movie?? i know the last Godzilla was a joke and almost ruined Godzilla for me. I have seen every Godzilla movie ever made and it was sooo dissapointing what they did to it.

well I don't know. Hmm maybe it is "godzilla"? I mean look at the legs and it's back, it got the same spiks and lags as the godzilla. It's really inroing that you can't see the head, i think it is godzilla, also in the movie you see an egg and out a "babyzilla" comes, but hmm why after 10 year's, they make a 2 movie now? I thought everyone was up to date? I guess not. It's NOT Godzilla. J.J. Abrams got the idea to make this movie because Japan has Godzilla so he thought the US needed their own monster. That's why it's ORIGINAL and not Godzilla. Thanks and have a nice day :). The trailer is awesome btw.
