well people, J.J said that the U.S needed there own monster, so it not a monster we have seen before I think, but he also said that it got some kinda godzilla look. Well I dont know how much look it got from the godzilla and from with 1 of them. The us or japan godzilla? :-|

I agree with everyone who thinks there's gonna be more to this film than a giant monster attacking a city, for one simple reason: that gimmick has been done far too many times, and there's no way producers are gonna put millions of dollars into a movie this huge just to replicate it again. It wouldn't make any money and they know it. There's also no way in Hell that it's Godzilla either, for the same reason. Besides, I don't see anything in this trailer to suggest that it is in fact Godzilla other than the fact that it's a big monster smashing up a city. That automatically makes it Godzilla? Expand your minds, people.

i found this on the web "The movie will not be called cloverfield or monstous and there will be mini mes of the main monster but through out the whole movie you never see the monster just the little ones killing people his uncle is a crew member" so what you think?

I wouldn't be surprised if were more than just a big monster movie. Twice in the trailer you see images of people acting crazy, first in the medical camp 1:10 into the trailer where the person behind the plastic sheet is either being restrained by men in bio-suits or is being attacked by 2 large creatures, and second 1:44 into it, where the 3 characters hear a noise and look behind them fearfully, it flashes a picture of a hallway with what looks to be a deformed person following them. If you pause it just right you can get a look at it. Could be just the way they cut the trailer, but everything they put out for this thing seems really deliberate. Just a thought, anyone else see that?
