yeah people have been saying for years to approach towards more grown up audiences and it will make it good.

Wow! Of all Batman movies, the ones with "grown up" approach are the best for me - Batman Forever (Val Kilmer), Batman Begins (Christian Bale) and this!

Although Batman is originally from comics, the movie versions in the 90's of the comics were more like visual feasts and but the storylines didn't give much justice to the main characters.

Grown up Batman movies are the Best! Can't Wait for The Dark Knight!

oh common jae, didn't you like clooney as batman? haha no I would most def agree with you, christian bale is more real as batman, and the reality of it all fits a whole lot better, with his company creating most of his gadgets and car.. i'm definately looking forward to this trailer to see some real visuals.

Ledger is going to own this role. He is the joker period. I like many others was worried about Ledger playing the Clown prince of crime, until i heard him laugh. This movie will rock

My boy yum-yum is kickin ass (see land of far away). when I was younger nicholson was hilarious as Joker, but Dave McKean's illustrations really hit my perception of him dead on. ledger did the teen idol thing to get his career off, then went for the oscar thing, and now he is free to be a badass. no doubt this will rock, crazy ass scarecrow, and the crazy motha joka. I didn't get enough of the scarecrow in begins and i'm glad he wasn't in the other batcrap movies, him and joker were always my favorites and now we see them in their lunacy and glory!

you know damn well christopher nolan and bale will knock it out of the park again. batman begins is perhaps the best superhero movie ever because it is actually a somewhat realistic look at how a superhero is born. heath ledger has huge shoes to fill but he has been impressive of late. actually thought adrian brody might have been a good joker. super excited for this one.

nicholson played a badass joker we'll see how heath does.

Well done. Highly anticipating this film. I agree with mrgb46. It is much more serious, yet with humor in between. It is believable, yet has marvelous sequences. Heath Ledger sounds like he drove the nail right through with his insane laugh. I am really excited, and will be there on opening Knight.

Loved Batman Begins because they got it right.Movies about superheroes are more effective when it's done seriously and not cartoonish,like Batman and Robin.Christian Bale was the perfect actor to play Batman because not only is he a better actor,but he's more intense and made the character more dark and intimidating,which is what he should be.I think Heath will be good at playing the Joker because I think he'll be more creepier and maybe a little darker.I just hope this one is alot better than the first,which was good,but ususally the sequels aren't as good normally..Can't wait to see the full trailer,which should be coming later this year or early next year???

Christopher Nolan did the best of all the directors in his version of Batman. Batman's supposed to be a dark and somewhat gloomy character, not some comical dummy like the previous 3 movies. The new Joker is going to be great, just as psychotically maniacle as in the comics, as he is supposed to be. Crappy teaser, but oh well, I guess that's why they call it a "teaser".
