The Bridesmaids duo of producer Judd Apatow and director Paul Feig are eyeing Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy for lead roles in their new untitled comedy.

We first reported on this project last week, with Judd Apatow and Paul Feig locking in a deal at Universal Pictures. All that is known about the plot is that it's an "unconventional love story," which centers around a man's obsession with a woman. Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy are being eyed for the man and woman. It is still very early in the development process, though, and negotiations have not yet started for either actor.

Both Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy starred in Bridesmaids, which has earned over $126 million at the domestic box office to date.

No production schedule was given for this untitled comedy at this time.
