Well why wouldnt there be a race of aliens just like the Na'vi. Its a huge universe out there with billions of galaxies with billions of stars and planets likewise. You might be surprised at what you might find. :)

so maybe that helped making the CGI look more lifelike

Okay, i was exagerating a little bit. I can tell which are CGI which arent. Im just stating how advanced technology has come to be. And that no other movie matches up to the visuals iv seen so far in this movie

I don't see how everyone can compare this movie to Star Wars and King Kong. This movie looks very original, and the story doesnt seem anywhere near the same as Star Wars. The CGI looks absolutely stunning in this movie. Best iv ever seen. I couldn't tell if the blue guy in the beginning was CGI or a costume. Other than superb graphics, the movie looks very emotional and very satisfying if u ask me. the end of the trailer where the alien girl was crying over a dead love, i presume, in the lights and sparks of the fire around her looks AMAZING. very touching. This movie is definetly on my buying list :)
