@jasdjqs Usually there's a general high concept going around in Hollywood and studios try to beat each other to the punch. Armageddon/Deep Impact, Dante's Peak/Volcano, Red Planet/Mission to Mars, now the two Steve Jobs biopics.
Gonna get killed off.
To me this sounds good. It doesn't sound forced and crappy like Ghostbusters 3. If Jim, Jeff and the Farrellys want to do it and they want to take their time to do it right then I say do it. And seriously it's not like the first one was perfect, how atrocious can this be? At most it just won't be as funny but it seems to me like they're on the right track.

@skywise I kinda like Chris Klein. He doesn't have a lot of range that's for sure, but he's pretty good in other stuff. I liked him in American Dreamz for example.

Cool cast but not believable for a second. Channing Tatum as a secret service agent and Jamie Foxx as the president of the United States? Why not Chris Klein as the president of the United States and Warwick Davis as the agent?

@skywise I loved the novel when I read the sparknotes.

Weird. I thought it felt more like a December release.

Probably too far over the top. Plus it's not a very well done banner anyway.
@zeeman1 Or just a good story with good characters period. I think the Prometheus script not being good should be a fact, so I'll honestly be happy if Lindelof isn't a part of it. The guy has proved time and time again that he was in over his head and his usual defense is he likes stuff where there are mysteries and questions left unanswered. Yeah, I think we all do; script still has to be good though.
@jimthar Kind of. $300 mil. on a budget of $130 mil. at the box-office. I don't think it should get a bigger budget however. If anything, I think the sequel would fare worse than the first one.

Excited.

America and religion. It is funny.
Brian Gallagher, that shot of someone being hurled towards a hidden camera is a shot from the end of Paranormal Activity 2.
Yannick Decorte wrote a comment about the news item Paranormal Activity 4 Trailer Preview
@moviewiz001 At least it gives us many clues, like the backwards "Activity" as well as some footage played backwards, the 4 turning briefly into a triangle symbol with a circle in it, Hunter and Katie coming out of the house, and that brief shot at the end of a girl screaming. At least it teases.

Personally I'm hoping this will be good. I really like the first three and I'm surprised they haven't messed it up yet. They've been smart about these movies so far and I'm crossing my fingers this will continue in that direction, because the PA films are scary, in particular the ending of PA3.

I hope Alan promises the guys he really didn't drug them this time, until we learn that he actually did it. Again. For the third time.
The original is so good that yes, I would love to see another movie made if it's from top people in the industry. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me if it's not on the same level, the potential around the universe in The Shining is just so damn terrifying I want to see it explored further.

Why is the trailer 2 minutes longer than it should be?
Anyway, this looks pretty good, but I do think it will have the same problems as Speed Racer visually and direction-wise. It looks to be more stylish than intelligent, and the fact that it has no visual coherence will definitely hurt it, I believe.

Damn that looks pretty bad. I wonder if it's the trailer or if the movie really is like that, it really looks like this trailer is trying to sell it as something it isn't.
