The trailer isn't very good but it's a good movie, I saw it last year at a pre-screening and I thought it was going to be cheesy as hell, but it felt really honest, it rang true. It's a pretty inspirational film and the people in the theater seemed to like it as well, I know my girlfriend did. It had a certain amount of cliches so it's not perfect, but overall, it's a very promising first feature. Hopefully it finds some success... but it would need a more professional trailer than that.

Glad to know Taylor Kitsch will have another sizable role in the future even if John Carter and Battleship flop, but I could do without Douche Whalberg and the "this is going to be unapologetically patriotic." I don't know what paying homage to badasses doing a tough job (which is great) has to do with how great and mighty the country is. We don't need more of that in a Hollywood action blockbuster, we get it already. Unless of course it's about them having to cast a patriotic light on everything just so that the Navy will support the production of the film... as usual...

This trailer is an obvious sign of desperation: they include all the action and dazzling special effects to let people know this is a big movie, and skimp entirely on the story and character relatability. I think it's going to be a very good film, but it's not going to do well. And why release it in March? What are they hoping for with a March release for a $250 million-film? It's nearly impossible for this movie to make back its budget. I predict $140 million box-office in the US, and that would still be doing very well, considering everything. Prince of Persia only did $90 million at the end of May with Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead...

Finally! I've seen this movie ages ago at a pre-screening, and it's a much more honest look at life than I had thought. Not for everyone, some might call it cheesy, but it rang true and it felt like it came from the heart, which is very important in movies like this. I recommend it.

New trailer? Meh, why not new Avengers PEZ dispensers? Schoolbags? Christmas decorations? Now that's news.

I loved all the trailers so far but I'm really hoping I can forget about them before I see the movie, because I feel like I already know everything and all the good jokes.

What the hell... this is not how to sell such a big blockbuster. I love Taylor Kitsch but no one knows who he is or his name, and that's not what's important to showcase for a film when hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake, and especially not if your poster is gonna look like the box-art for a direct-to-video action flick. Besides, with the very different release dates between the rest of the world and the US, this feels like the next Green Lantern. I really want this to do well for Kitsch's career, why do they have to try so hard to screw everything up with horrible marketing?

The trailer we saw for this film looked like direct-to-video garbage. It didn't have the same polish as the first one, so pass, definitely pass. If the first film didn't do that well in theaters, this isn't going to do any better.

Looks very good, although I still think it won't do as well as the first three films. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but there's something slightly cheap about this movie. I do love that there are so many scenes at night, it looks great, but it looks smaller in scale than the last two.

I didn't even know there was hate around Will Smith for introducing Jaden Smith to films. The entire film industry is based around connections, but then you still have to work hard. Jaden Smith was good in all the movies I've seen him in and look at the incredible work he's done in The Karate Kid. That kid worked very hard to pull off that role, he was kicking ass.
So whether he gets a break because his dad is in the industry or his friend of his college roommate, who cares? Is he a hardworking actor? Does he pull off the roles he gets? Yes. There's nothing more to add. |

So... which one is it? The fall or the summer? |

@felipe-11 I don't see it making 400 million dollars like Tron Legacy. 335 million like Prince of Persia is already closer to what I would expect, but I can see something like 215 million (Green Lantern) happening as well. I don't think it's going to do very well.

I don't think it's going to do very well at the box-office, but that still doesn't mean it'll end up at $5 in a bargain bin. I don't see a lot of Disney-produced $250 million dollar-blockbusters in those, even if they disappointed at the box-office.
