Oh God - how disappointing! My favourite series of books and they've screwed the best one right up. How can Ian McShane be Merriman?! Nothing like him and from the sounds of the interview he isn't much interested in it either. What a waste of a brilliant opportunity...... How can he call the books dense?!?! We studied them at school when we were 13!! I shall carry on reading the book every December and forget that this insult to Susan Cooper was ever made.....
