I am actually glad they made Optimus a badass in the second movie. I thought that the first one he was a bit of a let down. I haven't read any of the novels or prequel or sequels to the movies that might explain why he wasn't. But I do know from the cartoons that Optimus was a bad ass.
The cartoon movie's opening battle were he dies he single handedly takes out about 5-6 decepticons and then beats the living daylights out of Megatron. Only reason he dies is because Rodimus butts in.

The biggest issue I had with the movies was when the cubed was touched. In the first one Frenzy is fixxed when he touchs it yet Bumblee Bee's voice box isnt. Why didn't the Tow truck come to life while the xbox, mountain dew machine and sam's kitchen come to life. Plus does everything that cube brings to life a decepticon??

I still liked the movie even with some of the faults in it.
on #5. The toy line did make pretendicons. The Autobots looked like humans while the decepticons looked like beast. So concidering that this is based of the toyline and cartoon all forms of transformers are game for the movie.

I liked TROTF, but this guys character was a punch line. One that they could have done without.

I am a fan of movies that keep me entertained and most of Bay's films do just that.

I enjoyed the movie and will see it again this weekend with some friends. I do agree that it was hard to keep track of all the robots. Hell it seemed like there was 10 constructicons. But I expected it to be all out action and it was.

People really go off right away.
I think what got Moore pissed was that the MPAA Movie said that the movie felt Dark so it was given an R rating.
Now if you are basing it on that and not content as he is stating why was TDK given a pg-13. Now please TDk was a dark movie. The violence is there unless you assume he put that pencil in his pocket or that he was sticking a twistler in the guy's mouth and not a knife.
Moore does have a reason and so do other directors about ratings to be pissed.
I personally would rather like to see an R rating on a movie and push it to the limit.

I agree with drewski. Batman took the blame for killing the cops that Harvey killed. He wanted to keep Harvey's persona unspoiled. Thus defeating the Joker on 2 fronts. Batman not killing and Harvey still seen as the White Knight. That is why he was made a myrter. Because Batman took the blame. They could have just as easily put him Arkham to hide the monster he had become.
Nice and sad to know that he is really dead.

Doubt Soundwave will be there if they keep to the first movie. They want to be a bit realistic in what they transform into and having a big robot turn into a little cassett player is not realistic.
Plus Frenzy in the first movie was a tribute to soundwave.

I am glad that my reading and retaining information helps out those that don't seem to have the time or ability to read a really good story.
Also I am also a sport nut and love to play sports so it is Nerd/geek/jock.

Yes the Necromancer is Sauron, but that battle takes place during the Hobbit. It is briefly mentioned right before Gandalf leaves the Dwarves and Bilbo to go into the Woods on thier own. He goes with the White Councel to fight the Necromancer. In the Book the Dwarves are held captive by the wood elves for a long period of time. Thus explaining that there is enouh time between Gandalf leaving and then reappearing for this to happan.
Sadly there is only a mention of it in the Hobbit. Gandalf states that he must leave to deal with pressing matters somewhere else. That is the last of Gandalf in the Hobbit until he returns right before the battle of 5 armies.

Sorry I tried to check the ages and Aragorn's might be off. As Kwisatz stated. Aragorn is a Dunadain and thus his life span is far greater then a normal man. He was older then 87 at the LotR.
|
|
|
Well the characters' rough age during the Lord of the Rings is Gimli about 87 and Aragon about 139. Legolas is older then Both.
The Hobbit takes place 60 years before LotR. So in reality if they wanted to, cameos can be made by Aragorn, young Gimli, Arwen, Legolas.
Of all the Characters I would say Legolas has the chance of a bigger role. Like I mentioned before Legolas farther is the Woodland Elf King. Who imprisons the Dwarves. So the chances of him biegn there and also during the final battle is possible.
|
|
|
Just because they weren't mentioned in the book doesn't mean they weren't there. Aragorn was in Rivendale at the time of the Hobbit. Same thing if they add Legolas. His father holds the Dwarves captive. Wouldn't it be logical that Legolas be seen in his father's throne room? Wouldn't he go to battle at the end with his father's army?

Just saw the trailer. I had heard rumers that it was suppose to be a version of the Godzilla movie through the eyes of the citizens of New York.
So I went back and took a look at the movie Godzilla. According to the clips here. The creature attacks at night. Godzilla shows up in the day time. The city is evacuated in the movie by the time night hits. Here it appears like there is still a lot of people in the city yet everywhere Godzilla came out in the movie they showed milatary personal and there were no civilians.
Of course the last seen on the clip with the bridge falling looked very similar to the ending of the Godzilla movie when they trap him on the bridge.
