I can't believe they killed NPH!!!

If there's a third movie they better bring back doogie, he made that flick!

"Jam out with your clam out"....who would have thought the best womanizer would end up being a homosexual?

Now before I begin I want to let you all know that I am not saying this movie was a horrible watch. In fact for a straight to DVD flick I thought it was pretty good, but as a sequel to one of the best cult-vampire movies of all time it simply did not do the original justice.

In order for it to be a great sequel it needed to follow all the rules set for Vampires in the original flick. Which it did not. Sure it followed most of the rules from the first film. For instance, the drinking of blood from a wine bottle or flask in this movie.

But what this movie lacked and what the original had a Master Vampire. If you recall the whole mission was...well, to kill the suck-monkey's...But more importantly kill the Head Vampire, or the Master Vampire.

Now I know you all say well the leader of the tribe (Shane) was the head vampire, but the leader of "the tribe" in the original was David, and the twist in the movie which made it great was David's secret. That he was protecting the master Vampire which ended up being Max.

And that is what this movie lacked a twist. Now I know this movie can't copy everything from the first. But I just thought the presence of a more powerful master vampire would make this movie pretty damn good! And give more respect to the original.
