One of the things I love about Southland is that it is so subtle. Like the one brief and yet so telling glimpse we get of John Cooper getting up in the morning. His sexuality was not mentioned before or since and it's not been talked about in the press at all. That in itself is fantastic, but that few seconds on screen spoke volumes about the character. Inarguably one of the best shows on television, I sincerely hope it gets picked up and for more than just 10 episodes. Ten feels like a tease. I want more!

Let's just be as cynical as possible every day of the week, shall we? Sheesh! I laughed all the way through the trailer and I'm glad that thus far the studio hasn't chickened out and "softened" it. This looks like a "Hard R" adult comedy. Can't wait!

Wow! You people are cynical! Have you seen the trailer? This movie has promise if for no other reason its cast can actually act as opposed to grunting while participating in a strung together series of stunts and special effects.

So it has nothing to do with nor is it a remake of the 1975 Sam Peckinpah film w/James Caan and Robert Duvall?

Looks like fun.
