watched YONKERS JOE at tribeca and also last nite on comcast ,,,i don,t know who makes the final call on the actors that were selected but they couldn,t have picked a better group of actors ,they all fit there parts like they lived them .
great drama ,great acting ,,and the gambling scenes were so much on tARGET AND SO TRUE TO THE REAL THING.the director even had a young man who has downs have a small part in the movie ,,,plus ,the director had this guy who,s name is fastjack play a part in the movie and that move really gave the film serious authenticity because i know fastjack and he is probably the best in the world with card and dice minipulation,,so ,all you gamblers ,,put YONKERS JOE on your must see list .this movie is GAMBLING 101 for all you wannabe gamblers ,,a must see film.
