Last January, my boyfriend and I quit our jobs to travel for one year. We rode horses with gauchos in Argentina, worked on a farm in Ireland and yes, walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. We spent 30 days walking to road to Santiago and covered nearly 500 miles. We reached Santiago on October 22, 2011. The feeling of standing in front of that magnificent church, after walking so long, was indescribable. In that moment, Derek, my boyfriend, got down on one knee and proposed in middle of the square with everyone we had walked with over the last month crowding around, singing, cheering, and crying. I said yes. The Camino was an important journey in both of our lives, and our relationship. Owning and watching this movie would let us relive our journey, over and over.
