Wow. Can't say I'm intrigued by any of these titles aside from maybe Tusk and The Drop, but I already knew that going into September. October through December are when the real heavy hitters will be released with films such as Gone Girl, Birdman, Interstellar, Foxcatcher, and the film I'm most looking forward to, Inherent Vice.
Weird trio

@john-m 2001 @1 is undeniable. Great list, man.
Monuments Men was a devastating letdown for me following The Ides of March. That said, this sounds like something Clooney was born to direct.

Like I've said all along, I just don't see this happening. Phoenix is the complete antithesis of anything resembling mainstream Hollywood, and probably the absolute last person I would ever imagine doing a film like this. If he signs on, great, I'm actually intrigued at the notion. If not, if for no other reason than how uncertain he's been up to this point, it should come as no surprise.

And I believe the song is titled, "Blitzkrieg Bob," not, "Blitzkrieg Pop."

@movieweb
Guess there's no Stones biopic in the works.

In all seriousness, I can't think of a better director to helm this project...as long as it comes after Sinatra.

The only reason I could see this happening is if the character Dr. Strange is in some way enticing to Phoenix, given the eccentric nature of his person. I still say this comes across as wishful thinking, especially considering the other casting rumors swirling around as recent as this week. If it happens, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong; until then, I'll believe it when I see it.

Been sayin' it for months, the Best Actor race is already down to three: Keaton, Carrell, and Phoenix. Should be interesting to see which man wins, as it may very well be the best shot each one of them will ever have at walking away with the highly-coveted honor.
