@Brizzy Lol. I did, because of the order, which I didn't know was in order of release. I've since changed it to a thumbs up.
@gallagher I gotcha. Good to know.
Is this list in descending order? Mrs. Doubtfire is arguably the role Williams is most synonymous for, while his performance in Good Will Hunting is considered by many as the best of his career, and the only one to ever earn him an Oscar. If that's not career-defining, I'm not sure what is. Popeye might have been his breakout role, but it didn't define his career more than some of the other films on this list.

Great f*cking move here. Eastwood's notorious for finishing films under budged and ahead of schedule. 2015 is already looking like a murderers row of quality releases. With this move, American Sniper goes from being just another film in 2015, to essentially the must-see Christmas Day release of 2014. Well played.

@mr-chips Agreed. Not to impugn Williams' career in any way, but Bacall's star was far bigger and brighter both on and off screen than the aforementioned. She's easily one of the top-25 biggest stars in cinema history.

I typically don't comment on articles relating to someone's death, but Lauren Bacall was perhaps the greatest femme fatale in screen history. As beautiful as she was deadly. RIP.

So, basically what this boils down to is they would rather open against Birdman in limited release than be sandwiched between the respective releases of Interstellar, Foxcatcher, and Mockinjay. Good decision.

Good. Four films was three too many anyway. I'd rather seem him take on different material.
