Pure popcorn fun movie. I was pleasantly surprised when i saw this. Highlight was when Gina kicked him out of the car onto the street and he just lied there and lit up a cigarette.

Its a reboot with the same lead actor (tom cruise) and supporting actor (ving rhames). That makes a lot of sense. Its a sequel......same characters...different setting....all they need to say.

@felipe-11 Although you might have been one of the few that liked that film others saw it as jumbled mess in terms of writing, acting and directing.

The movie was not a "hit" and far from. Keep in mind that the studio only retains approx 54% of the c*mulative gross. Failure Facts: 371 million gross worldwide, 200 million budget not including marketing and distribution, critically panned.

It may have broken even with DVD sales etc, but do the math it made less than T3.

They really need to give this series a rest for a while. There is so many different places to go with the material but after the failure that was Salvation its time to take a break.

If only shed fall off that chair and impale herself.......

Epic fail.

Not buying this, feels like a B movie or SPEED variant on train. Outside of Man on Fire Tony Scott is clearly the less talented brother. He always over shoots everything and feels the need to make everything look like a music video on speed (drug not the movie). See Domino and Pelham 123 as examples. Then again cant please everyone......

Translation: You mean I cant bedazzle people from noticing the horribly written script with an abundance of poor CGI? Looks like Jar Jar is gonna have to be stop motion.

Really #1? Brake or break? Not a grammar/spelling queen here but you both made the same spelling mistake implying you are the same person or have the same limited brain capacity.

Really #2? You came to that assumption based on a movie clip with a voice over and logo? OMG can you imagine if they put 3D on the end of that logo O M F G, it would make like 2 trillion dollars.

Just imagine what you two would say if they announced a Star Wars vs Star Trek movie and had nothing but a logo and a voice over from James Earl Jones.

You hear about TDK and Avatar so much due to the fact that they were both immensely successful critically and financially. Although you may dislike either film, the majority would disagree with you. Suck it up.

NOTE: Its a stretch...pause.... but if i see a logo in motion for Avatar 2 im going to assume....just based on the logo (without seeing any footage...outside of the logo) its going to make 2.2 Trillion dollars.

GI JOE was proof that Hasbro could care less about its property. Yeah sure they get profit sharing and licensing fees, but how far will that money go when you allow such a hollow unrecognizable version of your IP? The reboot thing is getting old, but they should really let the sequel contracts expire and try again in 5+ years with somebody who understands the material and back stories.

Anyone who remembers watching the old 80s cartoon and the GI JOE movie should understand where I'm coming from.

I didnt think theyd have that much footage to show, but looks very polished and good. Didnt blow me away but was better than i thought it would be.

this looks horrid and there is no way around it. Looks like a straight to dvd kids movie with effects that look worse than lake placid 2 and anacondas 4

It has to be good? He is a music composer who has written 1.5 scripts that no one has heard of. Thats like being excited about BONO or Trent Reznor rewriting a script.

Her career? Since when does she have an acting career? Her addition now confirms how ridiculous this movie is.

young flynn looks like it needs some more fx time, but otherwise looks awesome.
