But if he wants to be taken seriously, he should probably explain his comments, provide consistent examples or something. You can't win a debate by saying "Pot should be legal." You're going to have to say why.

Newkill's free to say what he wants.

I think it'll be interesting, but it still has a distinct chance of crashing and burning.

I just think Lautner is going to go the way of Frankie Muniz if he makes decisions like this.
You can't tell people to keep their opinion to themselves, this is a comment board goddammit!

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!
Why are you comparing this to DTESS? I'd say there's too profound an investment in this for Fox to give up on it that easily. Fine, Super Bowl ads will be at a minimum, but I guarantee you this thing will be in theaters until February.

It's an action-comedy. Jesus people, appreciate it for what it is.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah...

to everything on this page.
Trailer plox.
I'm with Onstra on this one.
End of December release means this won't leave theaters completely until the second week of february. Two months man. Movies have stayed in main showings for five before.
This clip definitely falls in line with my expectations for the movie: mediocre story, decent enough acting (if a little overdone in parts) and fantastic visuals and set design. James Cameron did fine with this formula on the highest grossing film ever, not to mention T2.
I think FOX is relying really heavily on word of mouth and very soon you will see bombardment marketing on websites, and then maybe even some late run Super Bowl press.
Money may not mean anything to you, or to the quality of the film, but if you're basing a movie's "success" on something other than monetary standards, you really need to specify. I think movies in general have taken a turn for the worse, with a few exceptions, but in the new market, they can still be successful in what they set out to do. Take "Where The Wild Things Are", a movie targeted solely at douchefuck hipsters, and they ate it up. I don't think Jonze gave a shit what kids thought about it, just so long as the overgrown children in Williamsburg approved.
Fair enough. I still think it was a great movie overall, mostly on the merits of its performances. I guarantee you the action will be more stepped up (and more realistic) in this one.
Define dead, New. Because they're making fuckloads of money, and the quality of the films has, according to general opinion, gone up.

Hell yes Helicarrier.
Newkill, what specifically didn't you like about the action? Because I have a feeling it's things that are being fixed in this movie...
I'm curious, what covers the space between Iron Man's Jaw and neck (his chin I guess)? Because it has to be flexible, but they never show anything covering it. Is he just rocking some UnderArmor over that incredibly vulnerable spot? Probably a big rubber flap or something.
Newkill thinks Twilight is "decent". His opinion no longer matters.
