Good review, War of the Worlds was sh*t too however. Independence day brought it, although I understand you were referring to a relatively small group of would be survivors rather than the entire planet.

In what way does "This movie blew every alien movie before it away"? They barely even featured the aliens, sure, they knocked on some doors and talked to a few, but no one explains how each other has come to understand one another, or at least I missed that piece of the puzzle. If you are making that statement based off of the graphics and CG than I suppose you could have an argument, but as far as plots go, this one was lacking greatly to other prominant alien films.

I know you didn't write this, you aren't capable of writing this well. Although it is rather evident in you posting this review that you also think highly of this film. I can't concur. This film is obviously set to display a hidden message about human intellect and the lack of respect we have for each other, however the way in which it was displayed was lacking in the 'interesting plot' department. Sure, throw a little gore at the audience and they will completely forget how boring the plot is, well, I didn't.

This movie sucked almost as much as Cloverfield. The previews made this movie out to be a battle between aliens and humans, and it was nothing of the sort. Aside from the horrific gore scenes, this movie pretty much lacked any interesting features. I can't help but think that this movie wasn't even necessary, showing us that the prawns are living the same criminally diluted, volatile, secluded lives as many people in cities? Awesome. With how little they even divulged about the prawns, I can't believe how blatantly obvious they are about a sequel. Then again, people seem to be loving the sh*t out of this movie, I for one, am not.

I enjoyed the premise of this movie, and brad pitt did very well with it.. the length was ridiculous however, definately worth mentioning...
