Coming out of Movieweb retirement just to say amen to Chris Nolan's latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. Knew he wouldn't disappoint.

On a nostalgic note, I very much liked Mrs. Pfeiffer's costume in Returns, it was edgy and fun in its time...she was campy but very hot.

Nolan goes for realism, realism as it relates to a completely hypathetical world and scenarios that only have partial grounding in true reality...but still he bases what he writes and directs on strains of logic that hold weight. I like the costume, looks very techy...and sexy as a mother f*cker! Ann Hathaway has an ass you could bounce quarters off from for fun : ) tight, tight, tight

Not wholly unlike the Dark Knight poster with the blown out building in the shape of the bat logo...that poster rocked.

@k-man Kudos on the reply, funny sh*t...just a note, if you read the second part of my comment you would get that I have very little respect for In Living Color alum Mr. Fox aka steamin Willy Beaman. I get that you are a Will Smith fan, but other then 7 Pounds and The Pursuit of Happiness he really hasn't flexed anything but his pecks. He's not terrible, just not the infallible super actor that you described.

Ladies and Gentleman, Will Smiths range... Ahhhh hell nahhhhhh ------------O-------------Ahhhhh hell Yeaahhhh And the Oscar goes to.........another talentless hack that just so happens to do a good Ray Charles impression : ) Should have cast Terrence Howard or even better Djimon Hounsou. It's not too late. |

Just like The Dark Knight trailer that showed up on site in 2007 was fake, that one was just like this one, simple, batman logo being stripped away, no pictures, video, etc of the actors or scenes from the movie...that trailer at the time was released in Brazil, this could very well be real...unless you have proof its fake don't make assumptions...looks like a typical Nolan teaser.

K-Man....no offense dude but its hard to take critique advice on dialog from a guy with a picture of "THIS IS SPARTA" (3 words), and "TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL" (5 words) guy for a avatar rep. I'm not defending X-Men FC because I haven't seen it, but solid critics like Roeper and McCarthy are giving it solid ratings based on the acting and dialog...who should I believe? Look at 300, I loved the cheesy dialog and mantastic impossible bullsh*t in that movie, based on your pic I assume you did too...sorry man but I think your opinion has fallen prey to the often common high expectations we fanboys can muster before seeing one of these flicks for what it is. I'm guilty sometimes too, live and learn.

Osh Josh, you are probably right, by the way did you know smoking was bad for you? Thought I'd let you know in case you were unaware, also D-bag goat-T's and black framed glasses are little shall we say, "pass-aye" considering current trends. You're a hip, trendy guy right? Just helping out : )

Reply to Aoshi and Cigarette Smoking Man (Osh Josh Begosh),
Say what you will, America has gotten a few things right...I believe one of those things is Superman. He is our's not the worlds, am I a proud American, damn right...do I loath smug liberal types that believe there is shame in calling our selves the greatest country on earth, yup. Here's the thing, I won't debate anyone or get dragged into social commentary on why that is, simply put..In my mind I'm right, and you are wrong. Doesn't that make things easier. Superman stands for harnessing infinite power in the service of a greater good...good being the opposit of evil, evil being something that doesn't just exist on the fictional pages of our comics...bottom line is, when evil men do evil things its not Supes that swoops down and saves the f*cken day, its US, us as in the USA...put any face or excuse on the reasons "why" you want, oil, power, greed...but in the end ask yourself how we benifit from helping out these "rich in culture" countries that are supposedly better then we are...bottom line, we don't...gas is higher then its EVER been, our country is split at the middle, and the threat of terrorism still exists despite all of our efforts. Sacrifices are made to support the pursuit of freedom and the greater good that results...that's the American way, and thats Superman's creedo. It's not about American Values, I agree that with 50% of our populace going to hell in a hand basket the idea of American Values is a joke...hence the death of God in our culture, and now the death of an American Superman. The world will NEVER take up hands and sing unified as one lovey dovey human race, there will always be *ssholes that need justice brought to them, there will always be conflict, its human nature, and thats reality. |

As a lifelong Superman fan (have the tattoos and piles of comics to prove it) I can't help but be really taken aback by this decision from the current writers and executives over at DC comics...it's obvious their political views and personal beliefs are dictating the future of America's most beloved fictional hero. Those that let their loathing of this great nation interfere with the huge responsibility of ensuring the integrity of an American icon of this magnitude should get off their "America sucks" kick a grow a set of f*cking balls, drink a bud light, eat some apple pie, set of some M-80's, and drive a balls out 440 Hemi at 10 MPG. That way maybe some of that good ole American pride can come seeping back into their Prius driving p*ssy mindsets. This is a tragedy, and those responsible should be deported to f*cking Pakistan as the new tenants in a recently made available compound. In closing..."ahem"...."straightens tie".....F*CK YOU DC!

Josh, not the 80s, 90s era comics, I agree it falls more in line with his look in the past 10 to 15 years...I guess it was the face make-up that really through me off, some other shots look pretty good.
