"Shouldn't "Predator 2" have been called "Predators" or does this forget that "Predator 2" ever happened?"

It's been twenty years since a standalone predator movie forgetting the two "Alien or Aliens vs. Predator" because in "Predator 2" the ending shows that there are more predators. So it makes sense that this is called "Predators" This should be good right? Well read this review then judge it for yourself.

The story is the main problem. I do like the idea of the predators kidnapping people taking them to a planet to hunt them. Then the predators observe their weapons then make their weapons more powerful. I guess for a full scale attack on earth or just for hunting, but I don't know.

That's all fine, but this isn't talked about in the first two "Predator" movies. Or just one, because in this one they don't talk about the events of "Predator 2" with another predator or predators being in LA in 1997, but only talk the first one. So I guess this one ignores all events of the second one.
The second problem is that there is real no talk of why there doing this. Even Fishburne knows this because he stalls on explaining sometimes you don't need to explain, but after a while you should, but don't use a standard format of a guy that we haven't seen yet pop up and then explain everything.
Speaking of Fishburne, he does a good job and the character of Noland is interesting, but all he does is come in take the people back to his ship, tries to explain to the best that the script gave him, then sets a fire runs off then standing in front of a predator lets himself get blown into a million pieces not doing anything to stop it. And I'm really surprised that nobody says "Is this a dream?" or "Am I dreaming?" That would be the first thing I would want to say.
The acting and directing is actually good. Brody does a good job playing Royce who's a real badass in this movie and makes it up to make the movie more enjoyable. But my last complaint is at the ending you hear the predator growl then it plays a Little Richard song, I forget what it is called, that's from the first movie in the helicopter when the G.I's are waiting to drop out. It took me a few seconds to realize that, I felt like I got kicked in the face. Then the predator theme that are in the predator movies plays. I think they got the two songs mixed up.

The two reasons why this movie is good is because of the special effects by Howard Berger and Greg Nichotero who have done some great special effects in their in the past like "Creepshow 2" one of my favorite movies. Plus the comedy that was written in this movie is on key with the first two movies. Overall it was enjoyable.
