Both
That's a pretty wide request, but alright. Movies: 1. Pulp Fiction (1994) 2. The Butterfly Effect (2004) 3. The Boondock Saints (1999) 4. The Departed (2006) 5. The Godfather (1972) 6. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 7. Memento (2000) 8. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) 9. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) 10. The Truman Show (1998) TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, The Simpsons, Friends, Heroes, Firefly (9 episodes down, 5 to go) Misc: Light rain, night time, Elisha Cuthbert, small furry animals (some medium sized too), linguistics (the English language in particular), history (preferably from 1789 and up), sleeping, playing computer (mainly shooters), order, silence/serenity, classic rock, disco, funk, drinking rum and coke (preferably with friends), salmon (not smoked), steak (medium/rare), trivia, quizzes, IQ tests, lists, geography, quotes, happy endings. Now, feel free to evaluate. |

I really enjoyes 28 weeks , will watch it again and again glad i own it , whats a joit viewing , watching will smoking some weed. What was your thought on 28 days later
A joint viewing could also be called a community viewing or a viewing with friends, you old stoner you :P Not surprised you liked 28 Weeks Later, Mr. Horror Fan No. 1 (or Beetle Juice - not that it's much of a horror flick, though). I enjoyed 28 Days Later as well, but it's been so long that I don't recall exactly how much. I think, however, that I like 28 Weeks Later better. i think he's a sh*tty actor to but his stand up is unbeatable except for zach galifianakis but its very close....and yea Beetle Juice was amazing...Stork im interested in knowing what things you actually do like I didn't even know he did stand-up. What I like in the realm of movies or in general? I didnt recognize a quote Stork, but glad you enjoyed Wristcutters. Also, Beetlejuice really isn't that great. Its an ok film with a cool performance. The quote was "quaint and curious volume" from Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven". I'm not much into poems, but this one's very cool. Revolver - definitely the worst Guy Ritchie film I've seen (Snatch. and Lock, Stock are miles ahead). It seemed to have sat down between two chairs labeled "action" and "psychological thriller", reaching out for both, but grasping neither. I liked Sorter, but everything else was swing and miss. The movie just wasn't big enough for vast, majestic interiors or frequent use of opera. 5/10 The Station Agent - never heard anything about it nor the actors (I thought). I turned out I knew practically every cast member from supporting roles in other movies or TV shows. The first half or so was very original and absolutely hilarious, but then the film went to drama school so to speak and humor was sacrificed in the name of reality, personal problems and other bland aspects of human nature. Don't get me wrong, it didn't take a turn to Terribleville, it just stopped dead in its fun tracks and looked downward and inward (something I think the majority of this forum's members won't mind). To recap, the first half rocked, the second half was little more than average. 7/10 |

Ha wow.....just wow.....I guess its an American thing
What's an American thing? To like or dislike him? He did well in Mr. Brooks, though. Rambo - decent display of death and destruction. 6/10 28 Weeks Later - highly intense and effective. As I'm not a horror fan at all, I'm inclined to name this my favorite of the genre. I can't decide how to rate it, though. It's seemingly better than a 7, but a criterion of mine, although vague, to get an 8 is replay value. Sure, it probably wouldn't be worse in a second viewing, but it's not really a movie I would ever put on again, let alone buy. However, I wouldn't object if others chose it for a joint viewing. Let's just go with the highest degree of 7/10 |

Beetle Juice - meh. Apart from Mars Attacks!, this is Burton's weakest, imo. 5/10

we learn new things about members everyday , well since your Indian what are your thoughts on bollywood movies
While it's fun to discover these things as we go along, I think it would be neat with a profile thread in Misc Ramblings. I made one once, but it never got stickied so now it's floating around somewhere in limbo. What are your thoughts on creating a new, stickied one? I imagine it could look something like this: - Date of birth - Sex - Location - Ethnicity - Occupation - Marital status - Hobbies - Religious views - Political views |

Wristcutters: A Love Story - I'm not much of an indie kind of guy, but this really was something else. Though seemingly set in a most depressing realm, this quaint and curious volume largely has the complete opposite effect on its viewers which especially Eugene and his car with all its accessories guarantee. 8/10
P.S. I hid a quote in there; retrieve it. (Hint: It's not primarily a movie quote) |

I would add the 13th Floor to that category (minus the happy ending).
I love The Thirteenth Floor. Existentialism never fails. xxbootyxx: Didn't someone else have that Brad Pitt avatar once? |

Serenity - absolutely brilliant. It steadily improved like a perfect linear function never faltering, ultimately reaching the top. The Operative (Chiwetel Ejiofor) was very reminiscent of Brandt (Taye Diggs) in Equilibrium which of course is most positive. Also, the film was packed with those nice, little touches that take a movie from good to great; Mal's (Nathan Fillion) countless, witty, instant classic remarks in particular. It would probably be a good idea to give Firefly a try now. 9/10
In Full Metal Jacket, Adam Baldwin gave us Animal Mother. In Serenity, he gives us... Futuristic Animal Mother. Same guy, different name, different millennium. |

I'm not even sure who that guy is. I remember seeing him in Jaws, but how he did in it is a different matter altogether. I'll pass on this one.

The Darjeeling Limited - the Indian setting and theme overall definitely adds a certain spiritual, serene and soothing sensation smoothly surrounding the story. However, the story itself is not quite up to par with that well-orchestrated ambiance, and the combination of such a powerful atmosphere and the absence of a compelling story made my mind wander off every chance it got. 6/10
