His music is pretty original if you ask me, he's old enough to have started what other punk kids recreated (other metal bands). & he knows how to please his large amounts of fans! he knows whats good, and he made it better (HALOWEEN.. cough, cough)

Well, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree!
I see your point, the story line is kind of similar to that of
Texas Chainsaw! But you said it yourself, it's hard to have
a super original premise for a horror movie nowadays!
At least Zombie took his own twisted version (not "stealing" the idea, might i add) and made it memorable! I think for his first shot at directing, he did a damn good job! I have to agree with the visuals, they did blow! but when was this movie made? I think Zombie was trying to create a unique approach from cutting from scene to scene. Or just trying to allow the stoner fans to appreciate the film more when watching it in the theater! but other than that he created characters that were truly horrifying, without making the villain(s) something over the top and unrealistic! Speaking of the characters, you found Sherri's character Baby.. how did you put it, oh yes thats right.. "quite sexy"? Mental patients turn you on?? thats just dandy!! this movie was one of the best horror movies of our time, in my opinion! & the sequel The Devils Rejects, was a great ending for Zombie's creative murderous characters!
