spynet315 wrote a comment about the news item The Hobbit Adding Orlando Bloom as Legolas?
Even though Legolas is not mentioned by name in The Hobbit, part of the story takes place in the Woodland realm of his father, King Thranduil, so this could be a cool cameo.
I'm calling shenanigans on this story. Is it April Fools day already?

What this article should say is "The Dark Knight Rises Script Due Monday. Chris Nolan planning all-nighter with red bull and hot pockets to finish before finals week"
spynet315 wrote a comment about the news item Robert Rodriguez Has Written Machete Kills
I'm not sure if it was the advertising or just me being blind, but I really wanted to see "Machete" in theaters, and I was just never aware of the release date. I forgot all about it until I saw this article. The same thing happened when Michael Bay's "The Island" came out. I saw it on store shelves before I could see it on the big screen.

The only news I care about now is who is going to play Superman.

This... is... METROPOLIS!!!
Ok, so definitely no Joker then? Not at all? Nothing? Got it. Disappointing, but I got it.
It's almost too bad that Nolan is such a great director with so much else going for him. Inception was just amazing, and who knows what else he'll come up with in the future. He's an artist, and with talent like that, we can't expect him to spend his entire career on the Batman franchise (even thought he has been quite successful with it and it)
@Davey I was just trying to say that the Joker is a pivotal part of any Batman incarnation. It would do a disservice both to Heath and the Joker if the character were to be left out of the movie altogether due to our grief over Ledger's death. The CGI option would be acceptable, but why not have someone who can act on a level close enough to Heath that the character of the Joker can live on in this series and continue his role as Batman's greatest enemy.
I still say that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has enough of a resemblance to Ledger that he could take over the role of the Joker. After the mess the Joker made in the TDK it is only logical that he appear, even in some small form, in this film. I agree that Ledger's portrayal of the character is superb and could not be topped, but that is no reason to let the character itself die an unworthy death.

I would love to hear a hobbit yell "Yes they deserved to die, and I hope they burn in hell!"
spynet315 wrote a comment about the movie Faster
Sorry, but I thought this movie kinda sucked. The direction and editing is sloppy, the Rock's character wasn't developed at all and wasn't very interesting to watch, so he shouldn't have been the main character (it should have actually been Billy Bob's character that was the main focus). That other hitman character had no purpose. All of the action scenes were the same. All of the twists in the plot were telegraphed to the point that everyone knew what was going to happen at the end. Yet another disappointment from the Rock, who should be taking his place as the new Schwarzenegger or Stallone of our day. Maybe I just didn't get it, but I just think that this movie had a whole hell of a lot of potential and it was pissed down the drain.
Oh God no.... Please no.... Bill Hader, I wouldn't mind too much, but Farris need to die a slow, painful death.

Sh*t. I hate Anna Farris. Couldn't they have found someone with... talent?

@The CoutNess Monster The Bible's already been rewritten several times. ; )

If they want a fresh take on the Oz stories, they should imitate what these guys did http://www.whitestonemotionpictures.com/Films/heartless/
spynet315 wrote a comment about the news item Robert Zemeckis to Remake The Wizard of Oz
Why would they use the same script as the original? The story could use some updating if you ask me.

@Tyranus I love Return to Oz
spynet315 wrote a comment about the news item Batman Heading to TV After The Dark Knight Rises?
@Pjwolsker agreed and lol. Why don't they just replay reruns of the Batman Animated Series? It'd probably be a lot better than whatever they have in mind. I just don't see a live action superhero tv show like this doing well (look at Smallville, blech!).
spynet315 wrote a comment about the news item Bill Clinton Cameos in The Hangover 2
@The Narrator The way I see it there is a bit of a difference between a man who cheats on a wife that isn't giving him any and a man who disparages an entire race of people based on ancient stereotypes.

To be clear I DO NOT want this set. The only reason I want you to give it to me is so that I can burn in in effigy and dance on its ashes.
