I wasn't gonna name all of them. But the point is they've not been doing nearly as well BOR wise or legacy wise with their animated features in comparison to the older known ones when prices are adjusted for inflation.
Never heard of this guy. It'd make a great movie. And it's nice to see that Danny Glover's career isn't completely dead.

More flicks should be made about historical lesser known historical events from that time period. Or even known ones for that matter. Like AJ leading the pirates, back country army, and Southern civilians in the Battle of New Orleans in 1814 after the war of 1812 had ended. All history teachers concur that in regards to how that battle went down: "Only in America."
It made that + 73 mil more opening weekend. Let's see...$473,674,000 globally so far. And it's only been 10 days...I dread to see it's closing BOR.

Things are all right for me now. I still want to see "Zombieland" though, but I've only seen "New Moon" and I thought it was way better than "Twilight."
It's interesting to see Disney come out with one of their own animated films for once...without Pixar's help. Well, for once in this decade I should say. And one that looks like it'll fall in with the other array of Disney hand drawn classics. Their last big hit was "Lion King" in '95. Their two 'big' ones after that weren't all that great. {Mulan/Emperor's New Groove}

Shouldn't it be 02.12.10?

Pixar's 4th best for me. Behind "The Incredibles" (2004), "Finding Nemo" (2003), and "Wall-E" (2008).
reviewed the movie Up

"Take a trip to the Tepui Mesa with a grumpy old guy, two of his adventurous counterparts, numerous talking dogs, and Kevin."
This sucks! "No Country..." was an AWESOME book, and its equally impressive counterpart "The Road" was just as good in a different way. WTF is this not getting a wider release??? I'm betting it and "Invictus" will be the main BP contenders at the Oscars in a few months. That's why they held it back an extra year when it was ready for a November 2008 release. Everything was set in motion, and then they cancelled it because they wanted to 'fine tune the final cut' which was bullshit since many critics had already seen & reviewed the film, but were subsequently prevented from publishing their opinions when it got held off. Having seen the 'fine tuned' version, the same critics cite zero noticeable differences between the 11/08 version and the 'new' 11/09 version. For the real reason it was held off was due to the higher probability of the academy not recognizing it having awarded Cormac McCarthy's work the previous year. They figured they had a better shot at the awards in 2009. That sucks that companies hold off for those reasons. Especially when they've already got massive fan followings. So basically it's like a big 'fuck you' to the fans by blowing them off in exchange for awards. I mean come on! Get your priorities straight!

Martin Scorsese did the same with "Shutter Island" which had a massive fan following, but he wanted to make the awards season, and felt that without DiCaprio promoting the film rather than the even more impressive supporting cast, that he should push it back to Hollywood's dumping grounds cuz he couldn't get it leased an extra 14 months. The official reason was that Paramount blew off their promoting funds for "T2," but that was clearly a bullshit excuse since this had a following everywhere.

And that's another thing I'm sick of, all the BP contenders these past few years have been limited release movies. That bites!!!

Agreed Fallen.
reviewed the movie State of Play

"Had the first hour not lacked suspense nearly as much as it did, then this could easily have been a memorable movie."
I think the last two sentences were the icing on the cake. lolz, thanx. (yeah, I like using an 'x' for that)

I thought the story lacked a bit. But I was genuinely surprised to find Oliver Platt & Chiwetal Ejifor in leading roles since they typically play co-starring roles. It was a good step up for them. I loved the visuals the most. Though some of the plotholes were comical (let's land to refuel with no landing gear and try to takeoff again without landing gear :P)...and the Russian guy! To me it was a vintage "B" movie with "A+" FX.
I concur with the second sentence of your final paragraph (and being the only girl who frequents the site then I agree even more so, despite not really being into any of the guys in the flick).

SCREENWRITER said that while he didn't agree with my opinion, he thought my take was hilarious. Yours is great too. Who knows? Maybe I'll read the quadrilogy over the holidays. Good review is probably something both of us shouldn't bother saying anymore as you always deliver the stuff I neglect. :P

I gave it a respectable 3/5, respectable since I'd never known anything specific about the franchise before seeing the film. But I have to admit, it wasn't as bad as I expected.
Damn, this thing looks better and better. I wish it was coming to some theater within a 30mi radius of my region of NorCal. You'd think it'd get a wider release considering the Oscar success of "No Country For Old Men" (2007).
That's what I was gearing for: comedy. For the review anyway. After my HP6 review not many fans read or commented it having read the first paragraph. So I learned from that and made this one more comical. XD
$258,800,000 globally in 3 days, placing #7 and the worldwide weekend opener list and knocking "TDK" from 12th to 13th.

Haha. I'll be sure to check it out as soon as I get some spare time. Should be tomorrow. lol. Check mine out, too, if you're not busy! :)
I'm sure if I read the books I'd appreciate it slightly more...NAH!
I wouldn't go so far as to mutilate myself. At least not for this one.
