I agree that the first film was good, but I never saw the sequel, so considering that they're both on FX alot then I'll see them there first. Though 3.5 is enough to convince me that this one is worth...
Just saw it last night. I found it odd that the story randomly ended 8 months into their 32 month long stay in the forest. That made it seem anti climactic, such as how did they manage to evade Nazis such...
I don't understand why so many users on this site can't spell or use punctuation and proper grammar to save their lives. I mean most of them have gotta be in their late teens, yet they still suck at this....
I haven't thought of this show since its' inception in 2001. I'm surprised it even got a DVD release, as most shows which fail that quickly don't get them. And it's "would've," not "would of."...
Very true, and what's sad about it is that they take those films seriously, the network does I mean. They should go back to playing re-runs of Mystery Science Fiction Theater 3000. Those were the days...Better...
I love movies, and want to get a career in making them after college.
I have worked on a few small film projects in high school media.
I'm currently in an editing class that teaches "Final Cut Express" & "Final Cut Pro." None of which are of broadcasting quality, but it's the first in a long line of filming related classes.
Unfortunetly, as twisted as this sounds, my cousin is gonna be a father by April of next year, meaning his best friend and mother of the kid will be moving in with him. Bye bye roomie. I won't have enough money to get in with some people on an apartment down there. Especially since my cousin was the only one who lived anywhere near the college, so my hopes of getting into film school down there have been dashed, for the moment anyway.
Horror movies are also a big thing with me. I love them, well the old ones at least.
Not many of the new ones are as great, just gory and bad. Though I haven't been
scared by a horror movie in over a decade, so age plays into the scare factor back then,
but nothing's scary anymore.
Oh, and the ORIGINAL HALLOWEEN RULES!
I also obsess over True Crime novels/subjects and their film adaptations,
like Helter Skelter/Zodiac/From Hell etc.
And I also consider myself a Ripperologist/Zodiacologist.
When reviewing movies by picking how many stars it's worth on facebook,
I couldn't help but review all fifty of them in a few short sentences,
whether I liked the film I was reviewing or not.
Meaning that I love shooting out my opinion on every movie I've seen.

HEATH LEDGER ON PLAYING THE JOKER:
"I wouldn't have thought of me, either. But it's obviously not going to be what Jack
Nicholson did. It's going to be more nuanced and dark and more along the lines of
'A Clockwork Orange' kind of feel. Which is, I think, what the comic book was after:
less about his laugh and more about his eyes."
"I definitely feared it. Although anything that makes me afraid I guess excites me at the
same time. I don't know if I was fearless, but I certainly had to put on a brave
face and believe that I have something up my sleeve. Something different..."
"It's a combination of reading all the comic books I could that were relevant to the script and then just closing my eyes and meditating on it. I sat around in a hotel room in London for about a month, locked myself away, formed a little diary and experimented with voices - it was important to try to find a somewhat iconic voice and laugh. I ended up landing more in the realm of a psychopath- someone with very little to no conscience towards his acts. He's just an absolute sociopath, a cold-blooded, mass-murdering clown, and Chris has given me free rein. Which is fun, because there are no real boundaries to what The Joker would say or do. Nothing intimidates him, and everything is a big joke."

Not sure if I will be able to see Public Enemies. I need to see Transformers and then Harry Potter. Do not really want to go to the theater this weekend because of the crowds so we will have to see. I will check out your review shortly.
I might not be able to see it. Money is really tight, so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to go to the theaters lately, so we'll just see how everything pans out.
Well, as you've probably guessed, no I won't be. I just got back from my cousins' house, where I was staying for the weekend. I might be doing some this week, but I'm not sure. I'll let you know when they start up again.
Yes I had to use a different email in order to create another account. My email service allows me to create sub accounts so that is what I did. You could always create a free one in hotmail if you needed to. I still can't get to my original profile but maybe once a week, but I still use it for reviews and comments on the main page. It can be a pain switching back and forth but I guess it is worth it.
The "A Nightmare On Elm Street" box set that contains all seven movies has a disc eight to it with a buttload of Special Features, worth it for the price. I bought mine at Best Buy for forty bucks, so maybe you should try that. You should check YOUR local Best Buy's prices. I have not seen "Vantage Point" yet. I just remembered that I still owe you a comment on your "Friday the 13th (2009)" review, so I'll get right on that.
I own the entire series. I bought up the "Friday the 13th: From Crystal Lake to Manhattan" box set, which contains the first eight off of Amazon, and with it I bought "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday" and "Jason x." Yesterday I got my copy of "Friday the 13th (2009)." As far as "A Nightmare On Elm Street" goes: yes, I DO own the complete seven-movie, eight-disc collection. Got that one at Best Buy. Worth it all the way. lolz. I also own "Freddy Vs. Jason." So that's all nineteen films.
Well, if you don't like a remake, then ignore and stick to the originals. It's the best you can do. I myself love remakes.
Anyway, that sucks about your friend leaving for a year. I went to a new school every year until third grade, so I lost touch with a lot of good friends. Sounds like you'll have a lot to keep yourself occupied with, though, so that'll be fun.
As far as things are going here, it's been rather boring. I've been taking to movie marathons to keep myself occupied. It was James Bond the first week, and now I'm on "Friday the 13th" this week. Next up is "A Nightmare On Elm Street." So I've not been really busy. My friend wants me to stay over sometime next week, and then I'm probably going to spend some time with my cousins this coming weekend. I have a camping trip planned for July, too, so I'll have something to do soon. LMFAO!!!!!
I'll definitely check it out, and I'm not worried about spoilers because I saw the movie opening day in the theaters. At the moment, though, I'm working on my reviews for "Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives," "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood," and "Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan." When I've got them done, I'll go and read your review.
Yeah, I don't even think number four did it. As far as Jason keeping Clay's sister hostage, it's really simple. Remember her boyfriend holding up the locket with Pamela Voorhees's picture in it, and stated that she looked just like her. Jason thought so, too as soon as he got close, and when Mommy tried to run, he chained her up.
Hey, Sly. "Halloween" is my all time favorite slasher movie, as well as my all time favorite horror movie. When Rob Zombie did his remake, I was all geared for it because remakes really aren't that big of a deal. I knew he didn't want to best John Carpenter, he wanted to pay homage to him. When I saw it, I loved it. Last year, when they announced that he was on for a sequel because he didn't want some other director to fuck up what he started, I was all psyched. Now I've gone into overdrive, it seems. lmfao... Speaking of remakes, I really enjoyed Nispel's "Friday the 13th." If you liked his remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," then I'm pretty sure you'll feel the same way for this one. It's got the same feeling, and Jason actually runs. lolz...
As far as your comment goes on my "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" review goes, I understand what you mean, and respect your opinion, however, you must admit that the first three were not the cause of this... Opinions are opinions, however.
I'll read your "The Taking of Pelham 123" when I've seen it. I've got a new rule as of recent to not read reviews for movies until I've seen the movie myself. I know you probably won't ruin anything, but I don't want to take chances.
Yup, I read your review last night. I respect your opinion, but I disagree. As you already know, since I think you commented my review. I'm pumped for "The Lost Boys 3," and I did know about it. "Lost Boys: The Tribe" was a lot better than I'd imagined it would be.
Well, I just thought it looked stupid. I don't know how it could be so awesome. I'm not one to condemn Brad Pitt, since he's a great actor, but that movie just looked like a whole lotta stupid. I might rent it sometime, but I doubt it.
Since Gran Torino did not come out on DVD until today I have not had a chance to rent it yet. I am probably going to go buy and see if I can pick up a copy today before it is all gone. The International comes out today as well, have you seen that one?
Whats up Sly I replied to your comments on my "T4" review, including the one that you just left. BTW Thanks, and forrest gump is right, I used to work at Blockbuster in 2004 and I would see all the new movies about a week in advance, we just had to have them back by the Tuesday street date and we couldn't put those movies up until Monday night at closing. Although you're not supposed to rent them out early, as an employee you could take them home, maybe let a friend borrow it (without the store's knowledge of course), but you'd be responsible and had to have it back before Tuesday.
Ok every video store in the world pretty much get's the movies that come out on Tuesday in on Friday they just do nt tell anyone. well in my town we have one of those video stores. See i am really good friends with the guy that owns the video store in my town and so every friday i go in to his video store and he lets me rent the movies on Friday when they do not come out untill Tuesday. Thats How i see all these movie before they come out on dvd-LOLZ!!!!!
It's not that I don't WANT to see them Sly, it's the fact that I don't have the money to see them. I'm a seventeen year-old without a license (Working on it), and nowhere near him to work, meaning my income is about as non-existant as a virgin at a Britney Spears concert. I saw "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" last night, and am writing a review, and I hope to see "Star Trek," "Terminator Salvation," and "Angels & Demons," but it doesn't look like it's happening. I also saw "Obsessed" last month. That's the extent of what I've seen.
haha not in a long time man, ive just returned on here tho i daily see whats the gossip on it i never really went on my profile ill update it today. names Terry and also wannabe filmmaker
Yeah. He's one of my friends, but his constant efforts to argue with everyone on this site cause me irritation all the time. I just kind of ignore it, though, and go about my own business.
As far as "Dear Dracula" goes; I've never heard of the Graphic-Novel/Book before, but the concept is interesting. I want to hear more about the film, however. You know what I mean?
Sounds like you found more in what the movie was about than myself. Maybe that is why the sequel was more comedic? From what you said that was Hooper's intention from the beginning. I agree with you on the remake. I thought it was very well done and that it brought the terror of the crazy family to an uncomfortable reality.
The footage of Halloween was found sometime last summer I believe. There were many rolls of film that had not been seen. Apparently there is an alternate ending that was shot with Michael dead on the ground when Loomis looks out. I think Anchor Bay is in possession of the footage and is deciding on how to release it.
That sounds good. The original Halloween is one of my absoloute favorites. They found lost footage a year ago and are planning on releasing it. I never really could get into the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I watched it twice and it did nothing for me. It is the same thing with the Exorcist. They just don't scare me. I guess we all fear something different.
Well... You mustn't take it so personally, yourself. Newkill200 freaks out on everybody for seemingly no reason at all... I think he likes arguing, or what he probably perceives as "debating." lmfao.
Wow, that is a long vactation. Imagine having that when we were in highschool. That would have been great. Sucks about your friends not returning. That boredom can get to ya.
I will probably wait for Angels and Demons on dvd. I was not really into The Davinci Code, but it is good to hear that it is a good movie. I will see Terminator this weekend. I am seeing Star Trek again Friday. That was such an amazing movie.
I am with you I loved Watchmen. I have read the book and loved aswell. I know some were a bit let down by it, but I loved the movie.
Hello Slysnide. I have yet to talk to you. I enjoy the pics on your profile. I like the dvd artwork. How are things going for you? What is the big movie this year that you are most looking forward to?
oh wow that's alot on ur plate I'm kinda bored since I got out of school May 8th and June hasn't even started but my sister's back and so are most of my buddies
I've seen alot of movies keeping up with the summer blockbusters and all I put my reviews on Facebook b/c for some reason MovieWeb won't let me post any my girlfriend's coming to see me in July so at least I'll have one good thing about this summer I gotta retake two college courses to boost up my GPA after Im done here I go to a four-year school
I hate going to the movies by myself these days but I don't have to wait up on everyone so I guess thats one good thing
here's a quick summary of what I thought of the films in the last few weeks: Wolverine: fantastic Star Trek: FREAKIN AMAZING! Angels & Demons: good Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian: hugely entertaining Terminator: Salvation: sooo good
Well, we'll just have to see the movie and see what really happens, and then judge for ourselves. You can't ALWAYS trust Wikipedia, despite it's record as being a really good informational site. As for "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King," I can only say that I've only seen the movies, and have never read the books, so I have no idea in the slightest about what you are talking about. LMFAO!!!!!
I'm not completely worried about it, honestly. I heard rumor, though which site I cannot remember, that they were taking that out of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" so that they could add it to the beginning of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I," to make things a bit more epic movie-wise.

LMFAO!!!!!
So how've you been doing lately, Sly?
As far as your comment goes on my "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" review goes, I understand what you mean, and respect your opinion, however, you must admit that the first three were not the cause of this... Opinions are opinions, however.
I'll read your "The Taking of Pelham 123" when I've seen it. I've got a new rule as of recent to not read reviews for movies until I've seen the movie myself. I know you probably won't ruin anything, but I don't want to take chances.
well in my town we have one of those video stores. See i am really good friends with the guy that owns the video
store in my town and so every friday i go in to his video store and he lets me rent the movies on Friday when they
do not come out untill Tuesday. Thats How i see all these movie before they come out on dvd-LOLZ!!!!!
As far as "Dear Dracula" goes; I've never heard of the Graphic-Novel/Book before, but the concept is interesting. I want to hear more about the film, however. You know what I mean?
The footage of Halloween was found sometime last summer I believe. There were many rolls of film that had not been seen. Apparently there is an alternate ending that was shot with Michael dead on the ground when Loomis looks out. I think Anchor Bay is in possession of the footage and is deciding on how to release it.
I am starting school in the fall for illustration. That's what I want to do.
May I ask what you are studying in school?

I hate going to the movies by myself these days but I don't have to wait up on everyone so I guess thats one good thing
here's a quick summary of what I thought of the films in the last few weeks:
Wolverine: fantastic
Star Trek: FREAKIN AMAZING!
Angels & Demons: good
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian: hugely entertaining
Terminator: Salvation: sooo good
