Look Il put it to you this way. Lets say for the sake of argument that the Bond Franchise was dwindling and thus given an ultimatum do well at then next box office outing or its over.

Then Movieweb comes along and twice reports first as rumor and then as fact that the next movie Bond, starring Daniel Craig is about James Bond in outer space, where he joins a circus and becomes a cookery school teacher. All seemingly disjointed plots but what the heck lets just report on it anyway. And they know this news to be true because one of the old Bond movies was set in outer space, so it has to be true.

Then anyone who might be inclined to go see the movie reads the 2 identical articles by Movieweb and decides that the movie sounds lame and sucks just like that other Bond movie when he was in space. Yeah the other Bond movies were good but that space one sucked.
Can't you now appreciate why fans would be royally pissed? Especially when they knew that the articles were not true.

To be fair Banshee, people may read this bogus story of yours and think the idea for the movie totally sucks and decide not to go see it. The movie is not nor was it ever about 'aliens.' Its a standalone paranormal horror/thriller.
