shaw78 gave this a Thumbs Down
Elm Street it takes a lot of brain power to bag on others and judging by your comment it must have taken you all day to come up with that zinger. In my post I stated MY opinion and didn't bust on anyone else point of view. I simply stated a few problems I had with the above article knowing full well that it is an April Fools joke, but still wanting to make a point about the continued Sam Worthington hype that's gone on with really nothing to justify the why. I managed to do this without insulting anyone or acting like a douche. Unlike you.
OK time to take this down now April Fools is over.
But just for the sake of argument couple things to address. #1 don't think Nolan is the type of director to let anyone dictate to him who he should cast in his movie. #2 the reviews for Titians are in and its 3D sucks so really him looking better in 3D is non issue (and its a dumb statement). #3 Worthington himself has said he would never replace Bale in Batman because he has too much respect for Bale and would never want to mess with the formula they have going right now. #4 People went to see Salvation because it was a new Terminator movie, had nothing to do with Worthington. People went to see Avatar because it was a new Cameron movie, again nothing to do with Worthington. People are going to see Titians because it's Clash of the Titians, again nothing to do with Worthington. You could have replaced him with any actor and it wouldn't have changed their appeal one bit. So stop saying Worthington is the Golden Boy, he's not. He's just been lucky with the movies he's been cast in.
2 things that need to be taken into consideration. 1: I don't believe that this tally above includes Salvation Thursdays opening/midnight #'s its midnight alone was 13.4 million. And 2: Museum was released in 500+ more theaters than Salvation. I mean if you sent a movie out into more theaters against a movie that wasn't and had most of its fan base go and see it on a night that's not even counted in the net takings than of course Museum did better. But no one's really putting those little facts out there are they. Wonder why? I liked Salvation, I'll see again and I'll rent Museum if I find myself really bored night.
