POTC4TFOY2011, you are sadly mistaken if you think making Batman 3 less-serious will contribute to a greater success. You want it to be more comical? This franchise is not for you then...because the Dark Knight takes Batman back to his darker, more sinister roots. The Dark Knight is a masterpiece of a film.
Just look at how Tim Burton's franchise was killed once Joel Schumacher took it over. Why was it killed? Because he made the films TOO GOOFY and campy. The Dark Knight was not far-fetched enough, you say? That doesn't even make sense. Batman was a human being, not a hobbit or troll. This isn't a fantasy film franchise. |
