Oh Michael, what are you doing?
Several times. The only one I've seen is the 1974 version with Robert Redford, Bruce Dern, and Mia Farrow. But there was one made in 1926, 1949, and a T.V. version made in 2000. So yes it has been made many times.
While I'd like to keep an open mind about this, I don't think Doctor Who fits a cinematic medium. The very nature of his travels are episodic. What is the point? Also David Yates? No thank you.
SCARAMANGA!!!

This looks decent enough to go see. Only problem I have is the video game effects at the end.
Now this is finally a film to get really excited about. Why can't we just load movies with great ensemble casts all the time?

Smith would never have done this movie anyways. He is too much of a family man. He's like a black Jimmy Stewart.

im not against another jurassic park film but if he wants to reboot it like redo it then what a horrendous idea.
wow that is so lazy.

I'm not sure that this is the kind of film that benefits from a "real villain". I'm a fan of Shane Black, but Tom Clancy Iron Man? We'll see, this could be really good.
Selling out is like writer's block, they both don't exist. Selling out is just a term fanboys come up with when actors/artists get a bigger payday. Anyways, even though I think this is just pure speculation, I would relish the chance to see Zod back. I am self-admittedly more of a Batman fan, but I think one of the only interesting villains in the Superman universe is Zod. Why not just be excited for a good movie instead of worry about it being a reboot or not? If it is bad there is always Dark Knight Rises :-)

on an unrelated topic to yet another delay, someone fire Purvis and Wade. Why isn't Peter Morgan just handling this one on his own or at least co-writing it with another decent writer.

well isn't the first time. she played that pirate who went in the boo box in Hook.
i think they should cast Michael Shannon as the android.
I personally wouldn't mind Batman ending here for several years Give it some breather room. Currently Superhero films are being cranked out on a factory conveyor belt. Not to say I don't like some of the ones that come out, but Nolan has had a big hand in something really remarkable in this revamped Batman series and you know what they say about too much of a good thing. I have to say it would be nice in a couple years or so if Criterion released all three in a trilogy. Just sayin.
