Looking forward to this movie, but not holding my breath on the 2017 release date, as that could easily slip if the Avatar prequel/sequels fall behind schedule.

A prequel actually sounds more interesting than a sequel. The first Avatar movie really jumped into the middle of the standoff between the mining corporation and the Na'vi. I would really like to see how initial contact was made and how the humans got a foothold on the planet.
