I agree I hate how people are spouting off random things just bashing this movie....o yes the camera lasted to long...thats the ridiculous part..not the giant fuking monster trashing downtown New York...and people don't forget the most important part...IT"S A MOVIE NOT A DOC*MENTARY

I was reading reviews on IMDB and a lot of the reviewers were getting hung up on the whole camcorder battery thing there too. I got a bit annoying as they had no idea what they were talking about. From the perspective of the audience, we're supposed to be watching the complete, unedited footage shot during that event as they found it in Central Park. When you consider the party footage and the actual event footage, we're talking less than 80 minutes, a run time many camcorders can equal or exceed with an extended life battery.

My guess is that they will find another actor. Then again, the Joker character did not return for Batman Returns (1992). It was a one movie appearance of the character with Nicholson. Of course, this is a totally new story and script so they may choose to bring back the character in a 3rd installment.

Enough with the battery already. It didn't last for 2 days. The shooter ran the camera over an 8-10 hour period with a sum total of about 73 minutes of start/stop footage. My camera can easily do that with the extended battery (which is rated for up to 3.5 hrs. of actual record time if you use the viewfinder only). If anything the real miraculous thing about the camera was how much abuse it sustained without breaking.

(On Family Guy) didn't Cleveland think Penelope Cruz was Seabiscuit? Gave her a carrot.

The movie will get released. There is nothing for Warner Bros. and the producers of TDK to gain by not releasing the movie. It's not like Heath's death is a matter of national security or he's royalty or something. As tragic as his death was, life (and business) must go on.

I actually liked Hostel 2 better than the 1st film. One of those rare instances where the sequel is better than the original.

If you consider that all the filming is done and the $$$ that Warner Bros. has invested in the film, I would imagine that it would be next-to-impossible for them not to release the film. As others have said, TDK being Ledger's last movie, (not knowing what they will do with "The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus" because they were in the middle of filming it) will only bring added publicity to the films eventual release. They'll have to walk a fine line so as not to look liked they are capitalizing on the extra attention generated by Ledger's death. Also, I think it would be a shame not to release the film because people will want to see Ledger's last completed work.

We all say its not Terminator without Arnie and yea I suppose in some aspects its true, but a movie is not a good movie without the Director.

If T4 has any chance of been a hit again I say bring back James Cameron, he directed the first and second movies and they were both awesome.

What do you reckon?

Let's not forget that he wrote T1 and co-wrote T2 in addition to his directing duties. I agree completely. After all, James Cameron invented the Terminator as we know it.

I'll probably catch some heat for this but I absolutely hated the ending of "No Country For Old Men". I sat there after it ended and scratched my head wondering WTF?!

Saw this last Thursday and it was only OK. The 1st 20 minutes was a total waste. Sounds to me like they had only 50-60 pages of script and they needed to fill it up with "character development". Come on, all we really wanted to see was the monster. The shaky camera thing was a PIA, but not as bad as Blair Witch. Oh, and BTW, sub-90 minute movies are a real pet peeve of mine. They could have come up with 10 more minutes of something. All in all though, if you can get past the shaky camera thing, it was a pretty decent film.
