First of all, spiderman 3 was painful to watch, mostly because of the dance sequences but the plot was terrible too.
As for the Joker, I don't think the joker can win or loose. Sure, a couple things didn't go the way he expected them to, but he still got batman to break his one rule and with batman evil in the eyes of the city of Gotham, he managed to cause massive amounts of chaos and exposed people to the unexpected... and now he gets to sit back and enjoy the unraveling of Gotham in a way even he didn't foresee, which I for some reason picture him enjoying immensely. When the Joker doesn't really have a plan, there's just nothing to ruin. Batman on the other hand, had a rule, and the Joker made him break it. |

They tried a Two-Face/ Riddler team up in Forever, it didn't work! The Riddler is all about proving his intellectual superiority over Batman and Two-Face (If they bring him back) is just on his own plane of crazy justice, they have nothing to offer each other.

Thanks radimus, but I am a chick lol. One last thing- I won't be mad if two-face is dead, just a bit dissapointed. I *will* be mad if there is a plot splicing like there was between 2 and 3 of the old series and there is no acknowledgment of the murders batman claims to have commited and no bruce wayne personnal conflict over the one he actually did commit. In other words I want the third to pick up more or less where the second left off, with gotham thinking batman is the bad guy.

I *am* the target audience and this movie is doomed. I read the books and enjoyed them, despite the absence of depth.
The problem is that because the book is read through the point of veiw of Edward's love interest, every descripton of him is tainted by the point of veiw. For example, "I looked at Edward and he was hot." the reader pictures him "hot" leaving a story about the most impossibly hot guy on earth limited only by the imagination of the reader in a steamy relationship with... you. First of all, impossibly hot guys are inheritely impossible (duh) and everyone's got their own veiw of hotness. More importantly though, the movie cannot be read through the eyes of Edward's love interest like a book can, so fangirls will flock to the theatre and-- watch Edward making out with some other girl. I feel sorry for Robert Pattinson. |

This movie was bizzare... I watched it on Saturday with the kids I was babysitting and lemme tell you, swordfights are just weird when the charactors don't have arms. Besides that some vegetables didn't have eyes and I spent probably the rest of the movie wondering "wtf kind of vegetable is *that*?"
If only they could get a reveiw half as thorough as this one for a movie any of us care about... |

well sure, he could be dead and I wouldn't hate the movie or anything if he was. I would rather they kill him than throw the lazarus pits into the mess, it wouldn't fit the realism and by the fourth movie they'd have Rachel leading Old Yeller out of those stupid pits... eulogy would be a cover up, everyone but Gordon thinks he blew up in the hospital, gordan needs to alert batman so batman can find harvey, but batman is guilt-ridden over harvey's apparent death and publicly on the run from gordan, making him impossible to reach... most importantly though, is your source. Every other rumor gets the response that nolan goes one movie at a time, so this rigidly defined response seems suspicious in comparison. The other deaths in the movies (Ra's and Rachel) have been completely unquestionable and it seems odd that he would break that form without conciously wanting to leave the death more open-ended than the others.

I don't even know how they could make a sequal for this. Unless they really weird up the ending (I don't really remember, but we don't actually see the last two die right?) everyone is dead and most of the movie was about the characters, not the monster. Oh well, I might watch Cloverfield 2 in eight segments on youtube sometime five years from now, that's how high my opinion of the first one was.

Diaigma, ALL of the rumors are BS, no sense excluding the disappointing ones. If there's a great plot with Two-Face alive they won't have any trouble using it. Drewski and I are going to go and sit comfortably on the edge of denial now until we've seen the next movie.

Phil Mata, it was worse than this for Elijha Wood. I was babysitting and was shocked to see him as a pathetically minor character in Spy Kids 3D...

umm... honest question... what are these movies? I mean, house of wax was, to me, sick and disturbing even as I laughed at the general stupidity of the movie (not comparing saw to house of wax, just giving you my "scary movie gauge") So what's in this besides fairly creative (I assume it's creative at least) torture? BTW that little running pop up ad thing is making me a bit sick and I've been trying my best to not watch it... I mean, a guy with his head in a glass box? some freaky face-pulling-god-knows-what? WTF? If only for the sake of restoring my faith in humanity, please tell me there is more to these movies.

let me just say... funniest movie I've seen since thank you for smoking. the beggining's a little odd, the end's a little odd, but the middle more than makes up for it. Robert Downey jr. is awesome.

Welcome to a ghost thread rbetan... I guess everyone here was so excited about DK months before it came out they're sick of discussing it. I've honestly never heard of Michael Wincott though, sorry.
So nobody thinks batman's a murderer? Nobody except me? |

I don't know if this is the place for it, but I made a Fanagram!
Dire be the evil villain's nyte I still beleive in Harvey Dent Anyway... as you can probably tell by my fanagram I'm pretty dissapointed with the death of Two- Face, but that will probably only last until the next movie. I just hope they actually adress the whole batman is a murderer/ the joker won in all the ways that mattered to him... |
