Hi this is my first time posting here but i'm looking for a perticular movie that was probably release in the late 80s or 90's. This is what i remember:

Brother and sister a taking a driving theory test when sister is passing the test brother is not. But later that night a girl is asking the brother on a date, so he takes his fathers car and takes her out. He ended up having a big adventure with his friends while the girl is slipping in the boot. If i am not mistaking the name of the girl in the film is Mercedes.

Sorry for the vague explanation but thats all i can remember and i've searched blockbuster and amazon forever.

Please can someone help me find the name for this movie. . .

So it's about a middle aged man, very well respected with a well paid job (not sure exactly what the job is) In the film you see him winning awards at dinners etc, seemingly one of the best at his job. However he has a secret, which is that he is a killer. On nights he'll go out and kill people, until a young man finds out about one of his killings, and demands he goes with the man on his next killing as he wants to kill someone for the first time. The movie shows them driving around looking for a victim, and the main character tells the younger man to choose the victim, and that he can then do his first killing.

I can't remember much more, sorry if that makes no sense but it was released within the last 4/5 years, so hopefully someone will know it. Thanks a lot!

PLEASE someone figure this out! It's driving me nuts! Quite a few mo's ago while channel surfing I came across a movie.....not sure what year it took place in but it appeared to be european. Also, I could have sworn one of the characters was a younger claire danes but after spending weeks searching her info, nothing popped up.

Not sure if this was near the beginning or the middle or the end of the movie...I came in on this scene: Very cold & gray outside, what appeared to be a kind of disheveled middle aged man peering into a large window at small children-it turned out to be a daycare and the man was waving to his small son. The care giver delivers the small boy to the front door, the father takes him off to the side and opens a backpack and shows the boy a thermos w/(hot cocoa) and a fishing pole and the boy gleefully goes with the father. Then, the scene shows them walking thru a sort of foresty looking area, with a river. They arrive and the father sets down the backpack, takes out all the stuff, sets the boy up with his fishing pole and then says he is not to move-that he (father) will only be a little while and he'll come for him shortly and then the father goes over to a building. It's some sort of bridge control/watch tower. It shows the father going inside and there are dials and phones and mechanisms (all very old world-nothing hi-tech) and the camera pans out to the river area showing the boy fishing and then there's a boat in the distance......and then the other part of the story cuts in - where a young teenage girl (who I thought was claire danes) meets up with her drug addict sister that she hasn't seen in a long time and tries to convince her to come home with her. The drug addict declines and walks away. Then it shows her (drug addict) boarding a train.
The train takes off and eventually you see this locomotive powering down the track w/the steam billowing, etc., and it's headed toward the river.
The father in the bridge control room checks his charts and does some stuff, looks out to see his boy fishing....see's the boat coming thru the pass (the bridge is up) and then the camera switches to the interior of the train where the drug addict girl is entering the bathroom with her paraphernalia to shoot up.......then the camera quickly switches back to the river scene, where the boy suddenly hears the train whistle...he sees the train coming, and the boat almost passing thru the opening and realizes the train is early. He's shouting to his father in the tower but the father doesn't hear him. The father is doing something (work) and the camera is quickly going back and forth; train, boy yelling to his dad, dad on the phone, etc., and then it settles on the boy. He finally puts his fishing pole down and goes to this platform thing and opens it up - he lays down on his stomach and tries to pull a lever inside (that we the viewers surmise is what will manually lower the bridge) unfortunately, he's too small and when he starts to pull, he falls into the pit. The father finally hears the train and panicks looking out the windo for his son, doesn't see him - then looks horrified as he see's the lid of the pit/platform open and you know he just KNOWS his son is inside and he's well, mortified. He's conflicted, the camera is going back and forth, people inside the train, the father's face, the open pit, and you're seeing that he's facing a horrific decision; to pull the emergency lever that will save the train full of people from tumbling into the river yet ultimately kill his son if he has fallen into the pit because the chain pulleys..well you know.
So, then it shows - in agony he pulls the lever and then runs outside to the pit and falls the ground looking in and sobbing. Then the bridge lowers, the train rolls by and the drug addict sister is in the bathroom of the train w/her "stuff" looking out the windo watching a man (the father) carrying a severly injured (prob. dead) boy walking (presumably back from the way they first came, when I first started watching)
Ok, typing this felt like writing a book, but as you can see-I HAVE TO FIND OUT WHAT THIS MOVIE WAS SO I CAN SEE THE ENTIRE THING! I had to turn off the TV (it was 2:am) so PLLLLLLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS ONE OUT!

I really can't remember the name of this movie but i loved it when i was a kid in th 90s I think its about Christopher Columbus and a like termite maybe? Well the termite lives in the globe on a ship and its really weird but it was my favorite! Whats it called? HELP!:smile:

i cant remember the name of this movie.

its about a little white boy prob age 13-15 he runs into a man thats rich and his accdiently drives over his bike the man rushes and gives him a check. the kid goes to cash the check. finds out the man gave him too much money . he gets all the money in his safe. the kid has his computer buy a mansion his name is macintosh.
