The point being that it would not be "gimmick".
Dont think it just as a lame effect. Think it like this: First we had silent black & white movies then black & white movies with sound then color movies then color 3d movies Same "how would it make any of those movies better" question could be asked about sound when we went from mono to stereo or from stereo to surround-stuff. I'm not saying that color movies are better than b&w just because the technology is newer, or that 3d would make movies better, but why do you have to think that 3D is a bad thing. I just see it as a new artform. |

I'm not as fanatic fan of the old movie as the other users that commented. So I'm looking forward to see what it will look like.

What I mean is, a good movie where the main thing is not the 3D.
There's no "ITS COMING RIGHT AT US!" moments and perhaps the movieposters and the name of the movie doesn't mention 3D (in HUGE letter that is). You know, something like Schindelrs List, Shawshank, Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, American History X, Pulp Fiction.. etc in 3D. The point being, as I mentioned before, that the 3D is not the main thing. It doesent matter what genre the movie is, just that its filmed like a regular film, but in 3D. Maybe it's too expencive to do so it will be only for the BIG movies, I dunno. And maybe I'm the only one who likes the idea, but I'm still looking forward to it :) |
