From pretty much every fan of the novel that I've spoken to seems to agree with me. MTV Films would absolutely kill the story and the movie would not be anywhere near the premise of the novel. The company (Summit Entertainment) that Stephenie is working with currently seems to be a better candidate!

Well first off, I have to say that I completely and utterly disagree with InternetBlock! Umbridge didn't take up 90% of the movie, and if you think so... she was supposed to anyway, she was supposed to be the bitch that you hate! There was an overwhelming amount of direction put into the movie that I think it was the best movie thus far... Also the "orb" a.k.a. prophecy is a huge part of the plot of the story. It is in the book as well. I'd have to say that much of the plot remained intact. The only dissappointments that I had was the lack of Quidditch and Fiennes as well as The house of Black... The screaming portrait of Sirius' mother would have kicked up the comedy a bit. However, the dueling scene was utterly and irrevocably astounding! It couldn't have been done better! I do agree with CougarDann Imelda Staunton played the role to a T! This was my favorite movie thus far! It is based on my fav. book so far as well. As far as my least favorite... The prisoner of Azkaban... it was completely ridiculous... the whole plot was ruined... Okay, I'm done ranting now...
