Hey guys. I signed up to movie web today so i'm just getting into it all now. So far I've only seen A Man Apart, but it was that long ago I don't remember much about it, only that I watched it all and left with a feeling that it killed my bordom for an hour and a half (or however long it went for), and bits and pieces of the first daughter (there was something better on another channel and I only flicked back in the ads). Thanks for the heads up on catwoman too, I doubt that i'll see it now (although Halle Berry was enough to steer me away in the first place).

The trailer came out for it in Australia last week (that's when I saw it anyway). Looks good and I know I'll be seeing it.

Saw the first one because I'm a big Eliza Dushku fan and I hated it. The best bit about it was when the chick got hit in the face with the axe and you saw her pupils dilate... one of the best death scene's i'd seen outside of the final destination trilogy.

Generally I'm a fan of all this animated Pixar/ Disney stuff, but there was something about the trailer that made me think that it was possibly one of those movies that was worth waiting til it came out on DVD. However after SourPatchKids comments about having gone to see it, I gotta say that I may just fork out the time and money to see it when it arrives down here. Thanks guys!

The special effects and the acting was as expected really well done and Keira Knightly is so damn hot, but I gotta say that I was not a fan of either the 2nd or the 3rd movie. They were entertaining movies and action packed but I believe that after the unbelievable Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest brought down the trilogy. And while At Worlds End did improve the overall trilogy, it was not enough to put it anywhere close to where it was left at the end of the first movie.

I gotta go with die hard on this one.
Next was entertaining in its own right, and Nicholas Cage, Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel (sooo hot) all did an awesome job, the script could have used a little more work especially the ending. But considering Die Hard was the ultimate male trilogy (until the release of the 4th at which point it became the ultimate male quartet) a movie like Next can never beat it. |
