Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item CONTEST: Win Huge from The American
These prizes must be mine because I plan on traveling to Europe next spring, as well as buying some books there for foreign studies. I've never won anything before either, and I visit this site periodically, so these prizes would be most appreciated!

Hey!, this may very well work you guys. 'The Pusher' was a short science-fiction story by John Varley in the 1970s, and it insinuated pedophilia as well as feature polygamy and lesbianism. Not only must it have been radical and controversial for it's time, but it was also prophetic. So why not give this feature the benefit of a doubt?

That picture reminds me of Freddy Krueger from Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
I'm supportive of a JC3. It's a fun franchise and the monster in it is actually scary.
Phil Mata is now Friends with Bolger
Uh-oh! Sounds like Universal didn't want to get their hands dirty with the Church of Scientology. C'mon, it's too obvious that this film is about the story of L. Ron Hubbard. If not, then the story certainly has it's similarities to he and the 'religion'.
By the way Mr. Hoffman's first name has only one L you guys!
Actually incmob, Joe Pesci is going to be in a movie called Love Ranch.

Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item Heroes to Kill Off a Major Character?
Though this is nonsensical at first glance plot-wise, my best guess is Zachary Quinto's Sylar since J.J. Abrams plans on overhauling the Star Trek sequels, which Quinto is signed for. Besides, I think the creative team has stretched Sylar's character to the best of their ability. Wait! I take all this back. I think Adrian Pasdar AND Zachary Quinto will be getting the ax this season. Pasdar's character, Nathan, is already dead, so it's very possible that he could be let go from the show since his character is already dead. Whoever is dishing out this info could very well be trying to trick us. It would be a case of two birds with one stone, it's genius.
This would have been awesome if they had actually given more effort on the special features. This collection really should have been jam-packed with several hours of features, and instead we only 4 that are worth watching. BOO!
Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item No New Superman Movie in the Works
This is a good move you guys. Prior to the formation of DC Entertainment, all the news regarding a revamp of the Superman movie series has been pretty choppy. Between Warner Bros. not knowing where to go with the Man of Steel and lawsuit-which resulted in them having to release a new Superman movie as insanely early as 2011-DC Entertainment needs to prioritize and shelf this superhero for now. I say focus more on Batman 3 and Green Lantern.

YOW! Everyone loves Sly, a.k.a. Droopy Pecs.
Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item Halloween 3D Is Coming to Theaters Summer 2010!
I haven't seen Halloween II, but I heard that Laurie Strode killed Michael Myers. Is this true? Because if it is, maybe this "different take" will be something stupid like Laurie escaping the psych ward and going on some killing spree. Sounds like we may relive the Season of the Witch stupidity.

Say what you guys will, I like Bad Boys I & II. This is a sequel I'm looking forward to.
Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item Rob Zombie to Remake The Blob
I did not know this until now, Vanboy. Thanks! We learn a little more every day.
Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item Rob Zombie to Remake The Blob
Second remake of the Blob. Hooray for originality!
Of course it'll still suck! I blame Christian Bale for his insistence on a rewrite, just to accommodate his ego, and McG for his lack of testicles to tell Bale to take the offer or leave it.
Jackson's estate could always just show him in a non-bias honest light, but why do that? It's not like the public already knows of the controversies that surrounded his life. I'm sorry you guys, but this film will be an idolization of Michael Jackson, not doc*mentation.

I just found out moments ago. R.I.P. John Hughes.
Phil Mata wrote a comment about the news item Bryan Singer to Make a Limited Series for SyFy
F*ckin' sellout! I don't know what pisses me off more, cliche projects about the apocalypse, or audiences buying into them and giving studios reason to stay on board.
