I'm disappointed that you didn't list Duel. That is my all time favorite suspense thriller of 71. Go out and get the collector's DVD. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's just Dennis Weaver in his red 1970 Plymouth Valiant making his way across the desert highway roads, when he's chased and threatened by an old dirty gas semi, which he passed at the beginning of the movie. This movie builds the tension so perfectly, I have yet to see a movie do such a good job as of yet. There are so many things, that you hear and see, that pop up in this movie, to work and wear down on Weaver's mind, that you'll be cheering by the end of the movie, when Weaver's "David Mann", mans up to the task. Check it out.

#2 Loved The French Connection. Gene Hackman's best movie, I think.

#4 I loved Godzilla VS Hedora (a.k.a. Godzilla VS the Smog Monster). It's my favorite one. I think, because people actually get killed, and you see the skeletons, which adds to the threat level of Hedora. What you have to understand, is that this was made, when everybody was smoking weed. It is weird, I'll admit, but it's still my favorite. I used to watch that whenever I could, when I was a kid.

#9 Glad to see you can appreciate Vanishing Point. One of my favorite movies and one of the best DVDs I have. I can pop it in at any given moment. Cleavland Little was great in it too. Why Barry Newman isn't a massive star today is hard to understand. Bit o' trivia: The white car you see, crashed and burning standing on end, against the bulldozers, isn't a Challenger. It's a Camaro. Don't ask me why they did that, but it's true. Next time you watch it, check out the lines on the side of the car. That very distinct indentation line is nowhere to be found. And the rear end is very 1969 Camaro.

#10 Got to have a bit of the "ultra violence" now and then, eh old mate!

#8 Last Man on Earth was better.
