@comicbookfan Agreed 100%.
Agreed, @phatalphd. The Prestige is my favorite film from Nolan. :P

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n Let's see here. The Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises all had standard open-and-close endings that don't leave any room for "interpretation" in the sense that it affected the film experience. Just because Inception's ending was left to the viewer, a stroke of genius, you think Nolan doesn't have the courage to end a film "properly"? Get real.
@thedude-abides Agreed.

@mieko-siede Well said. Out of curiosity, which was the better asteroid film to you?
I'm insanely pumped for this film. I'm predicting a small cast due to the clipped shooting time and the subject matter of space travel, something I'm understandably excited to see Nolan tackle. The only question is whether he'll give us a 2001: Space Odyssey type film, or a Pandorum type film, but I wouldn't be surprised if he finds an interesting balance.

Emma Watsons sexy face was a little awkward for me. Lol. I'll see this because Sofia Coppola has made some great films such as Lost in Translation and Somewhere. Unfortunately, her fantastic cinematography isn't present in this film, and the subject matter is far less interesting... and the cast is practically nonexistent.

@raoulduke33 Is that any good, man?

@bawnian-dexeus Thanks for the informative link, man. I'm sure @ejk1 will be glad to see Saga getting some major purchase for it's first issue.

@skywise I'm curious to know who's number two.
@bawnian-dexeus Mmm... Her hair does look excessively white.

@this-site-blows "Self affirmed critics", are we? Dude, do you even bother to check and see what it is you're typing before you post it?

critic
/kritik/
Noun
1. A person who expresses an unfavorable opinion of something.
2. A person who judges the merits of literary, artistic, or musical works, esp. one who does so professionally.

Are we not all critics and thus critical of something to one degree or another?

Will Smith's unparalleled box office reign may come to an end with this film, unfortunately. The overall film looks like a decent rental, but it seems to lack a compelling story or authentic production value. One or another could have made this film a "must watch" with the RIGHT director on board. As it is, we have a relatively small cast, effects that are just not up to snuff when compared to what similar blockbusters are offering, and a director who now has an infamous reputation. It's a bummer, too, because this trailer and the acting within it wasn't all that bad. The cinematography, visuals, and generalized plot just seem too poor.

Two things to really point out are the accents and the twist. What accent are they going for here? South-African space settlers? A futuristic language that merged all accents into one? As for the expected twist, what is it? That humans still live on Earth? Whatever it is, it'll likely ruin what little this film has going for it.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx No, he doesn't. I'll admit that Avengers was a little light in story and realism even for a superhero film (hindsight speaking), but he wrote some solid stuff in there. More importantly, he gave me Firefly, which is by far the best incredibly low-budget sci-fi show to date. All in all, fans worship the guy, but I just find him entertaining in general. I'm just really curious about this project.

That trailer sucked, but I'm looking forward to the movie.

@comicbookfan Lol. Not the Ultimate timeline. I was referring to his characterization on Spidey during his run with New Avengers. Did Spider-Man seem alright to you throughout the run? More importantly, have you kept up with "Marvel NOW!"? Particularly Cyclops' turn for (in my opinion) the worst? This actually could apply to @ejk1 and @skywise as well.
