Normally, I'd hate the utter laziness of these large posters, but there's a saving grace within these three banners that keeps me from thumbing this article down, that being the words. The same words are used in each poster, obviously addressing humanity not being the only elite sentience in the universe, yet depending on the character featured on the one-sheet, those same words can mean utterly different things.
With Kal-El, I choose to interpret the words as a message from a man - both hero and lost survivor - telling the world that they're not alone in their suffering. With Zod, the message is pretty straightforward. He's telling humanity that we are not alone, and in essence he should not be f*cked with. His poster is fairly chilling, his posture intimidating, though that's definitely all Shannon and not to the credit of the marketing department. Indeed, it's Jor-El's poster that evokes the most emotion from me in its simplicity. I automatically interpret his message as something universal, something transcendent of genre, culture, and religion: the reassuring words of a father to his son. "You're not alone." Again, this is just my automatic interpretation of the posters, and I'm sure they were marketed with a much simpler purpose in mind. That doesn't keep me from appreciating them all the same. |

There are similarities between the two, right? @bawnian-dexeus. That being said, I may rent this someday to see Affleck tackle a villain role.

What a lovely piece of news (and photo for that matter) to come back to after my hiatus. Lilly is growing more and more beautiful each day.
Agreed @ejk1. |

I'm not quite sure how to feel about this. Iron Man 3 was spectacularly disappointing even with slightly lowered expectations. That's not even mentioning the Mandarin twist. I had trouble embracing the films direction, but little trouble in noticing its flaws while I was watching the film, to say nothing of the drive home. If this is indeed the final solo-salvo for Tony Stark, I just might be in favor of a recast down the line...
