SUPERMAN

Superman:Man of Steel will have alot of action and will answer many of the questions Superman Returns left. Superman Returns was and is a great movie and was needed to re-launch this franchise. A faster moving, action packed movie is coming and it is going to be AWESOME!

My guess, based on Thomas Tull's description is that Superman's son will be killed which will invoke an angry side of Superman we rarely see. I also think that Superman himself will be killed(by Doomsday and Lex luthor) but he will somehow transfer his powers to his dead son just before passing on just as Jor-El did in Superman II The Richard Donner Cut. All of this is just specualtion on my part but with Tull's desription we can certainly count on alot more action with a well scripted fast moving plot.

Thomas Tull, founder, chairman and CEO of Legendary Pictures (the company jointly responsible for producing the films Batman Begins, Superman Returns and 300)has said the up-coming projects his company is involved in include the sequel to "Superman Returns" in which Tull hopes to invoke more of the image of "an angry god.

Most of the criticisms we are hearing about Brandon Routh as Superman are the same criticisms that were made of Christopher Reeve when he took on the role as Superman. I think Christopher Reeve was great as Superman and I was skeptical of another person in the role of Superman. I felt it would have to be the right person or it would fail miserably. I have to admit that they got the right person in Brandon Routh to play the part of Superman. He has the looks, the stature and the ability to play dual roles convincingly and most of all he has an in depth understanding of the history of Superman.
I also like to watch the Adventures of Superman with George Reeves as Superman(especially the first two seasons). I have this series on DVD and I understand why it was so popular in the 1950's, 1960's and still is. George Reeves portrayed Superman the way he should always be portrayed.
I have seen the Supeman serials from 1948 and 1950 with Kirk Alyn as Superman. Kirk Alyn's portrayal of Clark was good but he was way over the top as Superman.
I know this is a bit long but I have to say at 14, AndrewRyan has great insight and is is exactly right saying Christopher Reeve is a legend and Brandon Routh is just getting his start in the role but Brandon Routh will, in time, become a legend as well.

I don't believe it will be Zod and his crew. I hope it will be Doomsday and Brainiac. Again with Kevin Spacey signed for a second movie we will again see Lex Luthor. This time as part of a trio of evil villains.

Who knows? The talk is there will be at least two villains and possibly three.
