Kane Hodder was good, but if this is to be a franchise reboot, it needs to have as many differences from the originals as possible, while staying true to the subject matter. Lighting, Filters, Camera Work, Special Effects, and Acting to name a few of the differences. The thing bout the actor portraying Jason, is that the actor has to have a certain presence to him. Jason needs to speak without speaking. His mannerisms and gestures have to make him just as terrifying as his appearance and actions. Kane Hodder had the chest pumping of heavy breathing, and the quick head movements to match his hulking physique. The actor who played Jason in FvJ, had absolutely no "bodily charisma" all he did was walk. There has to more than that. Derek Mears will do a good job as long as he understands that.
