I'm thinking the mask works as an inhaler for the "fear" toxin used by the League of Shadows. Instead of falling apart when induced by the toxin, Bane thrives on it and goes into beserker stage; nearly unstoppable.

Inception and Prestige use illogical means to complete their stories. Traveling into dreams and creating doppelgangers through a machine? Why not throw in some mysticism into a Batman movie.

Maybe, just maybe, Ra's comes back as his youthful former self after using the Lazarus Pit. Hence, Josh Pence... fun little thought.

Tarsem Singh is a visionary and his attention to detail is extraordinary. I will see it.

With the names that are attached to these characters, they must be absolutely vital to the movie. Otherwise, what would be the point in getting highly paid A actors to play seemingly small potato roles. There is more to these characters than meets the eye and it will be revealed throughout the movie. League of Shadows; the name says it all.

I wonder if Nestor Carbonell is coming back as the mayor.

People need to understand that we go to the movies to watch GOOD stories. I understand that everyone is comfortable with and loyal to the "if it ain't broke, why fix it." approach, but movies aren't like that anymore, if ever. Comics are the same way. Many incarnations of a character with no continuity but holds the same foundation. Let them make the movie and try to have a neutral mindset. You might be surprised.

Unless it is officially announced, this could be complete hearsay. It has been said that Nolan has no problem with misdirecting people who are involved in the film, including his "inner circle."

Alec Baldwin should play this role in 10 years.
